Getting-started

Getting Started

Everything you need to know to start building and managing your Commander decks.

Dashboard

The dashboard is your home base. It shows all your decks at a glance with commander artwork, color identity, card count, and price estimates. From here you can create new decks, import existing lists, or jump into any deck to edit or view it.

Create Deck

Start a new deck by choosing a commander and format.

Import Deck

Paste a text list from Moxfield, Archidekt, or MTGO format.

Deck Cards

See your deck's card count, price, and color identity.

Quick Search

Find any card, deck, or user from the dashboard.

The left sidebar provides quick access to all major sections of the app. It collapses to icon-only mode on smaller screens and can be toggled manually.

Dashboard

Your decks and quick actions.

Library

Your full deck library with sorting and filtering.

Life Counter

Track life totals in Commander games.

Notes

Personal notes with rich text and collaboration.

Explore

Browse public decks, packages, and users.

Precons

Browse preconstructed Commander decks.

The sidebar also lists your decks for quick access. Recently viewed items (decks, cards, users) moved into the command palette, so they are one Cmd + K away rather than taking up permanent room in the nav.

Keyboard navigation

Press G followed by a letter to jump to any section. See the Keyboard Shortcuts page for all available shortcuts.

Command Palette

The command palette is the fastest way to find anything in the app. Open it from anywhere with a keyboard shortcut, then type to search across cards, decks, and users.

Open command palette (macOS)
Cmd+K
Open command palette (Windows/Linux)
Ctrl+K

The command palette searches across your deck library, card database, and recently viewed items. Results update in real-time as you type.

Your First Deck

To create your first deck:

  1. Click Create Deck from the dashboard or sidebar
  2. Search for and select a commander
  3. Give your deck a name and optional tags
  4. Start adding cards using the search bar in the deck editor

Importing existing decks

If you already have a deck on Moxfield, Archidekt, or another site, you can paste the text list directly using the Import feature. The importer detects card names, quantities, and sections automatically.
