Aug 29, 2026

Game Changers Are Visible While You Build

Feature
Game Changers is a headline stat, and marked on the cards themselves
  • Quick Stats now shows how many Game Changers a deck runs, and each one carries a small GC mark in the card views. The number decides which bracket a deck can be played at, so it is worth seeing while you build rather than only inside the bracket panel.
  • Zero is shown rather than hidden, because running none is exactly what makes a deck a lower bracket. Pressing the number highlights them in the list.
v0.54.0
Aug 29, 2026

Category Headings Highlight, And Less Repeated Furniture

Feature
Click a category heading to highlight its cards
  • 'Removal 6' already names a set of cards in your deck, so pressing it now shows you which. Works in the list and the card views.
Fix
The sideboard and maybeboard no longer repeat the whole toolbar
  • Every section had its own search box, sort, grouping and filters, three and four rows down the page. They all edit the same settings now, so there is one set at the top.
Fix
The bracket panel listed your Game Changers twice
  • It named them in a sentence and again beside the button. Now it says it once, with the names under the button that highlights them.
v0.53.0
Aug 29, 2026

The Find Bar Suggests As You Type

Feature
Function tags now autocomplete from the whole tag tree
  • Type otag: and a few letters and you get matching tags with their descriptions, from all of Scryfall's tags rather than only the ones already in your deck.
  • Finding something like repeatable-pp-counters used to mean opening a card's tag panel and retyping the label with hyphens by hand.
Feature
Card names and card types complete too
  • Typing a few letters suggests matching cards from the deck you are looking at, and typing t: suggests the card types.
  • Arrow keys and Enter to pick, and completing a word in the middle of a search leaves the rest of it alone.
v0.52.0
Aug 29, 2026

Sort Once, Not Once Per Section

Fix
Changing the sort or grouping now applies to the whole deck
  • Each section of a deck kept its own idea of how to sort and group, so changing it in the main deck left the sideboard on the old one until you reloaded. They now stay in step.
Fix
Highlighting works in the table view too
  • It was the one view where setting a search or a Highlighter criterion did nothing at all.
Fix
Stepping through matches follows the order you see
  • The arrows beside the Highlighter now move down the list the way it is drawn, instead of jumping between category columns.
v0.51.1
Aug 29, 2026

Colour Searches Are Honest, And The Toolbar Stays Put

Fix
A colour search it cannot read now finds nothing, instead of everything
  • Searching c:gruul threw away the letters it did not recognise and matched every green, red or blue card in the deck. It now understands guild, shard and wedge names properly, and anything it genuinely cannot read matches nothing rather than guessing.
  • A colour search with several letters now means a card that is all of them, matching what the same search does on Scryfall.
Fix
The deck toolbar stays on screen while you scroll
  • Scrolling to the bottom of a long deck no longer means scrolling back up to change the search or the sort.
v0.51.0
Aug 29, 2026

One Search Box That Finds Instead Of Filtering

Feature
The deck's search box now takes real search syntax
  • Type a card name, or t:creature, otag:ramp, mv<=3, c:w, -t:land, and combine them. Matches are marked in place instead of everything else being removed, so you keep your bearings in the list.
  • If you preferred the old behaviour, 'Hide unhighlighted cards' in the Highlighter does exactly that.
Feature
Click the mana curve legend to highlight those cards
  • 'Instants 12' in the curve legend now shows you which twelve. The same goes for creatures, artifacts, enchantments, planeswalkers and sorceries.
  • A deck's Game Changers count is likewise a button that highlights them.
Refactor
The Highlighter and the search box are the same thing now
  • They were two controls doing overlapping jobs. The Highlighter's colour, cost and type pickers now write into the search box, so you can see the search your clicks produced and edit it by hand.
v0.50.0
Aug 29, 2026

The Highlighter Works Everywhere, And Finds Things

Fix
Highlighting now shows up in the card views, not just the text list
  • Setting a Highlighter criterion tinted rows in the text list and did nothing at all in Visual or Grid. Matching cards now take an amber outline there, and the rest fade back.
Feature
Step through the matches instead of hunting for them
  • A counter beside the Highlighter reads how many cards match, with arrows that jump to each one and scroll it into view, wherever in the list it sits.
  • Escape clears the whole thing.
Feature
The Highlighter can match on what a card does
  • It can now match Scryfall's function tags, so you can highlight every card that ramps or every card that recurs, not just by colour, cost and type.
v0.49.9
Aug 29, 2026

Tidier Suggestions, Lighter Page Loads

Fix
Deck suggestions no longer offer 'utility land'
  • It turned up in almost every deck, which made it as uninformative as the taplands and trilands already removed. Lands that do something specific, like land recursion, still appear and say which.
Performance
The app stops loading deck pages you never open
  • Every page was quietly loading a copy of each deck listed in the sidebar, the deck grids and the related-decks strip, in case you clicked one. Most were never clicked.
  • Opening a deck from one of those lists may take a moment longer than before; the main navigation is unchanged and still loads ahead.
v0.49.8
Aug 28, 2026

Add Cards Gives The Results More Room

Fix
The card preview was cut off on a laptop screen
  • Pointing at a result showed a card that ran off the bottom of the window, with its rules text out of reach. The preview now sizes itself to the space it has.
Fix
More results fit on screen, and the filters take up less of it
  • The dialog was leaving a strip of the screen unused while the results list was squeezed into a small area, so the part you are actually reading got the least room.
  • The dialog is taller, the heading is smaller, and the search suggestions sit on one line instead of two. On a standard laptop that is about a quarter more results visible without scrolling.
v0.49.7
Aug 28, 2026

Deck Suggestions Skip Your Mana Base

Fix
Search suggestions no longer offer you your own taplands
  • The suggestions under the Add Cards search were including tags that just describe a kind of land, like triland or tapland. Nearly every deck runs those, so they said nothing about the deck you were in.
  • Lands that actually do something still show up, so a lands deck still gets suggestions about land recursion and the like.
v0.49.6
Aug 28, 2026

Build A Card Search By Clicking

Feature
Add Cards has a filter builder that writes the search for you
  • Press Filter under the search box, pick something like Type or Mana value, and the search is written out for you. Each filter you add becomes a chip you can remove.
  • The search stays an ordinary text box the whole time. You can type in it, paste into it, or copy what your clicks produced, and the chips follow along either way.
  • Each filter is listed with the search word it stands for, so the builder shows you the syntax rather than hiding it.
v0.49.5
Aug 28, 2026

Usage Analytics Work For Signed-Out Visitors

Fix
Page analytics were being recorded for signed-in users only
  • The analytics endpoint required an account, so every visit from someone who was not signed in was rejected and recorded nothing. Anyone browsing a shared deck link was invisible.
  • It also meant each of those visits fired several failing requests per page, which the site paid for and got nothing from.
v0.49.4
Aug 28, 2026

Add Cards Suggests Searches From Your Deck

Feature
The Add Cards search now suggests what to look for, based on the deck you are in
  • Open Add Cards and you get a row of suggestions drawn from your own deck and its commander. A Krenko deck offers goblins; a lands deck offers land recursion; a blink deck offers flicker effects.
  • Pressing one puts the exact search in the box, so you can see what ran and edit it from there.
  • These replace six fixed suggestions that were the same for every deck, and which a display bug had been hiding on every screen since they were added.
v0.49.3
Aug 28, 2026

Deck Pages Load From Cache

Performance
Public deck pages are served from the cache instead of rebuilt for every visitor
  • A deck page was rebuilt from scratch on every single request, including every crawler hit, even though it was meant to be cached for five minutes. The caching setting had been in place for months and had never once taken effect.
  • Opening a public deck now serves a cached page, so it arrives faster and the site does far less work per visit.
  • Decks that are not public are unaffected in what they show. They now finish loading in your browser rather than on the server, so the deck skeleton appears for a moment first.
v0.49.2
Aug 28, 2026

Search Suggestions Say What They Do

Fix
Suggestion chips now show what they will add
  • The chips under the search box were labelled with a bare operator, like 'c:' or 'mv<=', while pressing one added a value picked behind the scenes. You could not tell what a chip would do until you pressed it.
  • Each chip is now labelled with exactly the text it adds, so 'mv<=3' adds mv<=3. Chips also disappear once you have applied them, instead of letting you add the same filter twice.
Fix
Suggestions stay inside your commander's colours
  • The colour suggestion was fixed to blue and white no matter what you were building, so a deck without either was offered a filter that could only return nothing — directly under a ticked box reading 'Only cards in your commander's identity'.
  • Colour suggestions are now built from your commander's identity, and are left out entirely when we do not know it rather than guessed.
v0.49.1
Aug 28, 2026

Search Results Polish

Fix
The card preview no longer vanishes when you open a menu
  • Choosing a board from the chevron menu made the preview disappear, which is exactly backwards — you pick a board for the card you are looking at.
  • The preview now holds onto the last card you pointed at, so it stays put while you use the menu, pick a printing, or reach for the scrollbar.
Fix
Search results look like the rest of the app's lists
  • The result rows now use the same spacing, corners, hover treatment and text shading as the deck list, rather than a style of their own.
  • Rows are slightly shorter as a result, so a couple more results fit on screen.
v0.49.0
Aug 28, 2026

A Faster Way to Add Cards

Feature
Search results are a list with a card preview beside it
  • Results used to be a grid of small tiles. Each tile gave the card picture about a third of its space and the rest to a name, a rarity, a price and an Add button, so only seven or eight results fit on screen and the picture was too small to read.
  • Results are now a compact list, and the card you are pointing at is shown large on the right with its type line, rules text and price. Around twice as many results fit on screen, and the card you are considering is finally readable.
  • Click a result to add it straight to your main deck. That is still one click, exactly as before.
  • Two controls appear on the right of a row when you point at it: a chevron to send the card to your sideboard or maybeboard instead, and a button to pick a different printing, set or foil.
Feature
The quick-add box and the full search now behave the same
  • The small add box on the deck page and the full Add Cards search were built separately and had drifted apart — only one of them let you choose a board or a printing without leaving the list.
  • Both now use the same result row, so whichever you open, the card looks the same and the same controls are there.
Fix
The Owned tag no longer sits on every search result
  • Results you already own were labelled with a green Owned tag that competed with the card name for space. It has been removed.
v0.48.1
Aug 28, 2026

Transforming Cards Show Their Cost

Fix
Double-faced cards no longer look free, anywhere
  • Cards that transform, like Fable of the Mirror-Breaker, showed no mana cost at all — their cost is stored on the card's front face rather than the card itself, and we were only reading the latter.
  • The front face's cost is now shown everywhere it was missing: search results, the card page, the card popup, the command palette, paste previews, swaps and card previews. Cards added from those places also record the right cost.
Fix
Every search result is the same height
  • Cells with a short name or no mana cost used to be shorter than their neighbours, so the Add buttons in a row never lined up.
v0.48.0
Aug 28, 2026

A Cleaner Add Cards Dialog

Fix
"Already in deck" no longer covers the card name
  • It was a wide label sitting on top of the name, which is the one thing you need to read. It is a small warning icon now, and the count is in its tooltip.
Fix
Hover a search result to see the card full size
  • The preview that the rest of the app uses now works in the grid too, so you can read a card without adding it first.
Fix
Search results look like the rest of the app
  • The boxed-in containers and drop shadows around each result are gone, and card art now uses the same renderer as everywhere else — correct rounded corners, a loading state, and no cropping.
v0.47.2
Aug 28, 2026

A Mistyped Search Says So

Fix
Search no longer returns everything when part of your query is invalid
  • Typing something like otago:test used to return every card, because the unrecognised term was quietly dropped and the rest of the search ran without it.
  • You now get no results and a message naming the term that was not understood.
v0.47.1
Aug 28, 2026

Oracle Tags on Card Pages

Feature
Full card pages show a card's oracle tags too
  • The tag hierarchy that the card popup shows now appears on the full card page as well, so the two agree.
  • To find cards by tag, search otag:<tag> — for example otag:ramp or otag:cast-trigger — in the search bar.
v0.47.0
Aug 28, 2026

Pages Stop Rearranging as They Load

Fix
A deck no longer shows the wrong buttons before showing yours
  • Opening your own deck briefly showed the buttons a visitor sees — Clone, Add to Collection — before swapping to yours. The toolbar now waits until it knows whose deck it is, rather than guessing wrong first.
Fix
The dashboard and library loading states match the real pages
  • The dashboard drew a search bar and a grid of cards that the page does not have, and the library used a different layout entirely, so everything moved once loading finished.
  • Both now mirror the page underneath, and headings you can know in advance are shown for real instead of as grey blocks.
v0.46.1
Aug 28, 2026

Deck Cards Load in One Go

Performance
A deck's cards now load in a single request instead of three
  • The card list, the card details and the tags used to be fetched one after another, each waiting for the one before it. They arrive together now.
  • Refreshing a deck no longer shows the card names, replaces them all with "Loading...", and then puts them back.
v0.46.0
Aug 28, 2026

Decks Open in One Step

Performance
The deck page no longer loads its cards twice
  • Opening a deck used to show a loading skeleton, then an empty deck, then the cards all at once — which read as loading the same thing twice and shifted the page as it settled.
  • The card list now arrives with the page, so it is there on the first paint.
Fix
The loading skeleton matches the real deck list
  • Skeleton rows were four pixels taller than real card rows, so a full deck jumped as it loaded.
v0.45.0
Aug 28, 2026

See What a Card Actually Does

Feature
Card details now show what the card does, and why
  • Open any card and you will see its function tags from Scryfall's community tagging, laid out as the hierarchy they belong to: ramp → mana producer → mana rock.
  • Each tag carries its own description, and the card's own tags are highlighted while the broader categories they sit under stay quiet. Descriptions can be hidden if you just want the list.
v0.44.1
Aug 28, 2026

Sandbox Banner Fits the Page

Fix
The sandbox banner no longer slides under the analytics panel
  • With the deck analytics panel open, the banner ran underneath it and the Save button was cut off.
  • It now ends where the panel begins, like the rest of the deck page.
v0.44.0
Aug 28, 2026

The Game Changer List Keeps Itself Current

Feature
Bracket ratings now follow the official Game Changer list automatically
  • The list is refreshed from Scryfall every week, so when Wizards revises it your brackets follow within days instead of whenever someone notices.
  • The last time it drifted, ten cards were wrong and nothing looked broken.
  • If a refresh ever fails, the app keeps using the last known good list rather than quietly deciding no card counts.
v0.43.1
Aug 28, 2026

Suggestions Work in the Sandbox

Fix
Adding a suggested card in the sandbox no longer fails
  • Clicking + on a suggestion in a sandbox deck returned "Failed to add card" every time, because the add went to the server for a deck that only exists in your browser.
  • It now adds straight to the deck in front of you.
Fix
The + button appears on suggestions below the deck, not just in the sidebar
  • With the analytics panel closed, the suggestions underneath the deck had no way to add a card. Hovering one now shows the same + and printing menu the sidebar has.
  • This also gives shared-deck collaborators the add button, which they were missing everywhere.
Fix
The sandbox uses the same plain background as a saved deck
  • The hex pattern was still showing behind the sandbox deck list, where it competes with card names. Every other deck page already drops it.
v0.43.0
Aug 27, 2026

Brackets Count the Right Cards

Fix
The Game Changer list is back in step with the official one
  • Our list had drifted ten ways from the current official one. Seven cards it still counted have been removed from the list, and three that were added were missing, so any deck holding one of the ten was rated at the wrong bracket.
  • It now matches Scryfall's live list exactly, and is pinned by tests so it cannot drift quietly again.
Fix
Double-faced Game Changers are counted
  • Tergrid, God of Fright was on the list but never matched, because a two-faced card is stored under its full "front // back" name and the check only looked for the front.
  • Both faces are matched now, so a deck holding Tergrid is rated on it.
v0.42.1
Aug 27, 2026

Pasted Lists Keep Their Categories

Fix
A pasted decklist keeps the [Category] tags it came with
  • Paste a list like "1 Sol Ring (C13) 207 *F* [Ramp]" into a deck and the cards now land in the categories the list named, instead of being sorted from scratch.
  • The tags were always read and then thrown away before the cards were added. Export has emitted them all along, so a list exported from here now round-trips back in unchanged.
  • Only the built-in category names are recognised. Anything else is kept as a label and sorted as before.
v0.42.0
Aug 27, 2026

The Sandbox Keeps Its Promises

Fix
Playtest works on a sandbox deck
  • The sandbox deck page has always shown a Playtest button, and until now it led to a page that could not be found.
  • It now goldfishes the deck you just built, straight from your browser, with no account needed.
Feature
Goldfish any public deck without signing in
  • Playtest is open to signed-out visitors on public decks, so you can try a list you found before deciding to make an account.
  • Private decks stay private: only the owner can playtest them.
Feature
Export a sandbox deck without an account
  • The sandbox now has an Export button offering Arena format, MTGO format, and a full export with categories.
  • Build a deck as a guest and take the list with you.
Fix
The sandbox banner tells the truth about saving
  • It used to say the deck would not be saved. It always was, in your browser, and survived a reload.
  • It now says so, and says what an account adds instead: the same deck on any other device, and a link you can publish.
v0.41.0
Aug 27, 2026

A Quieter Background

Feature
The hexagon pattern from the home page now runs through the app
  • Your dashboard, library, explore and the rest sit on the same faint hex grid the home page uses, so the app looks like one place instead of a landing page and a separate tool.
  • It is deliberately faint and desaturated. It should read as texture you notice once and then stop seeing.
Fix
Deck pages have a plain background again
  • The deck page is built out of small text, and the pattern made card names harder to read in the text list. It is gone there: just a flat background behind your cards.
v0.40.0
Aug 26, 2026

Analytics, Reordered

Refactor
Deck analytics now reads in priority order
  • Mana curve and mana base quality moved above the change log, prices and suggestions. They answer whether the deck is built right, which is the question you opened analytics to ask.
  • Tokens moved to the bottom, after combos. It is the one section that does not change a decision about the deck, and in the middle it split the analysis in half.
  • The side panel and the full-width view use the same order, so nothing moves when you open or close the panel.
Fix
Analytics sections line up with the deck list above them
  • They were capped narrower than the deck they describe, and Tokens escaped the cap entirely and ran wider than everything else.
  • Suggestions also changed width when you expanded it. Every section now matches the width of the deck list.
v0.39.0
Aug 25, 2026

Saved Pods and Mid-Game Fixes

Feature
Save a pod as a named template
  • On the player setup screen, tap "Save these players as a template", give it a name like "Thursday pod", and it appears on the life counter home screen.
  • Tap a template to start it with those players and decks. The menu beside it lets you edit the players first, rename it, or delete it.
  • Saving again under the same name updates that template rather than making a second copy.
Feature
Change a player's name and deck without restarting
  • Game Settings now lets you edit any player's name and pick or clear their deck, alongside the colour you could already change.
  • You usually only spot a typo or the wrong deck once play has started. Until now the only fix was to start the game over.
  • Life totals, counters and commander damage are untouched by the edit.
v0.38.0
Aug 25, 2026

Change Your Seating Mid-Game

Feature
Move players around the board after the game has started
  • Tap the chair icon in the middle of the board, tap a player, then tap the position you want them in. The two swap places. Tap Done when the board matches your table.
  • Until now the board laid players out in the order you typed them into setup, which usually is not the order people ended up sitting in, and there was no way to fix it without starting over.
  • Everything moves with the player: their life total, colour, commander damage and counters.
  • Each player can also be turned around individually, for the seats that moving cannot fix. Reset puts the whole board back to the standard arrangement.
Fix
The life keypad now faces the same way as the player who opened it
  • It worked out its own direction separately from the board, so a turned-around player got an upside-down keypad.
v0.37.0
Aug 25, 2026

Play Again

Feature
Restart your last game in one tap
  • The life counter setup screen now opens with a Play again button that restarts the pod you last played, with the same names, decks and starting life.
  • It shows you what it is about to start before you tap it: how many players, what life total, and who is at the table.
  • The arrow beside it opens your earlier games, so you can pick a different pod. Remove any you no longer want with the bin icon.
  • This works whether or not you are signed in, and whether or not you tapped End Game last time.
v0.36.0
Aug 25, 2026

Clearer Navigation

Refactor
Library is now called Your Library
  • The name says whose decks, collection, packages and buylist you are looking at.
  • Renamed everywhere it appears: the sidebar, the page heading, the bar at the top of the page, the browser tab, and the G L keyboard shortcut.
Refactor
Notes removed from the sidebar
  • Notes are still there and nothing has been deleted. Existing notes, links to them from a deck, and note mentions in descriptions all work as before.
  • You can still reach them from the command palette, the G N shortcut, and any link you have already saved.
Fix
Page titles no longer repeat the site name
  • The Your Library browser tab read "EDH Lib" twice.
Fix
The bar at the top of the life counter said Life-tracker
  • It now says Life Counter, matching the sidebar.
v0.35.3
Aug 23, 2026

Finishing a game lets you leave

Fix
Ending a game no longer asks you to start another one
  • Every way out of a finished game went back to the life counter, which with no game running is the new-game setup screen. If you were done playing, the app kept offering you a fresh game instead of letting you go.
  • End without saving, and Done after saving, now return you to the app. New Setup still opens the setup screen, which is the button that says it will.
v0.35.2
Aug 23, 2026

"End Game" now says that it saves nothing

Fix
The button is called End without saving
  • It sat next to Save & End and above Play Again, New Setup and Return to Game, and nothing about the word "End" told you the game would not be kept.
v0.35.1
Aug 23, 2026

End Game says what it is actually about to do

Fix
It no longer offers a draw while a winner is selected
  • End Game always read "Select a winner or end the game as a draw", including when the last player standing had already been chosen for you. It now names the winner it is about to save, or tells you that saving with nobody picked records a draw.
Fix
A draw is reachable now
  • Choosing a winner could not be undone, so once anyone was selected there was no way to record a draw at all. Tapping the selected player again clears the choice.
v0.35.0
Aug 23, 2026

Every finished game has a stats page you can reach

Feature
End a game, then read it back
  • Finishing and saving a game now offers a View game stats button. Everything the tracker recorded is on that page: life over time, the commander damage matrix, the full event timeline, eliminations and final standings.
  • It is a button, not a redirect. Choose Done and you go back to the life counter as before.
Fix
Recent Results now open the game they name
  • Each game under Recent Results in a deck's analytics is a link to that game's stats. The page already existed and nothing pointed at it from here.
Fix
The life chart's scale is readable
  • The numbers down the left of Life Over Time were drawn outside the chart and clipped, so the axis read 5 / 0 / 5 where the values were 45 / 30 / 15 / 0 / -15.
v0.34.4
Aug 23, 2026

The mana base builder no longer eats duplicate printings

Fix
Two arts of the same basic land survive a save
  • If a deck held the same basic land in two printings, say two Swamps with different art, saving anything in the mana base builder collapsed them into one. It happened on every save, whether or not you had touched that land.
  • The builder was comparing one printing's count against the total for that land's name. Those are never equal when a name has two printings, so it read the difference as an edit you had made and wrote the deck to match.
  • Each printing is now compared against its own count, so an untouched one is left completely alone.
v0.34.3
Aug 23, 2026

Analytics no longer vanish in the visual view

Fix
Switching from Text to Visual kept your analytics
  • The visual view runs edge to edge and does not draw the side panel. If you had the panel open, the app still believed it was showing, so it also hid the copy that lives under the deck list. The analytics were in neither place.
  • They now appear below the deck whenever the panel is not actually on screen, which is what closing the panel has always done.
v0.34.2
Aug 23, 2026

The dashboard fits on a phone

Fix
Controls no longer run off the side of the screen
  • The Your Decks row carries four controls, and on a phone they were drawn past the right edge where they could not be tapped. Section headings now let their controls drop to a second line instead, and New Deck and Import show as icons there, the same as everywhere else.
  • The username prompt did the same thing with its Later and Set Username buttons. It wraps now.
  • Recent Community Contributions is no longer cut off mid-word.
v0.34.1
Aug 22, 2026

Filter bars that fit on a phone

Fix
Buttons were drawn off the side of the screen
  • On a 334px-wide phone, Library's controls needed 408px in a 286px row and the page clips what overflows, so Import and New Deck sat past the right edge and could not be tapped at all.
  • Sort, Random, Import and New Deck now take a line of their own on a phone rather than being squashed or cut off, and the search field shares its line with the colour filter instead of taking the whole width.
Fix
Scrolling now actually shortens the header on every page
  • Explore barely changed height on scroll while Precons collapsed properly. The difference was that Explore has a button in its header, and that button held a row of its own open after the title had gone. Page buttons now move down beside the filters when you scroll, so every page ends up as the single control row Precons already was.
  • On a phone, Explore's header goes from a third of the screen to a fifth.
v0.34.0
Aug 22, 2026

Page headers get out of the way when you scroll

Fix
More of the list, less of the header
  • On Library at a laptop height, 339px of the 793px screen was header before a single deck appeared, and the part that scrolled was smaller than the furniture above it. Scrolling now collapses the page name and its description, leaving 221px. That is a third less, and 26% more list on screen.
  • The page name is not lost: the bar at the very top already says where you are, and the title comes back the moment you scroll up.
  • Tabs, search and buttons stay put. They are controls, and you need them while you scroll.
Fix
The Library header could not collapse at all
  • Browse pages already shrank their header on scroll, but Library's header sits outside the region that scrolls, so nothing ever told it to. It listens to the right thing now, on all four tabs.
v0.33.3
Aug 22, 2026

Visual view sizing, second pass

Fix
Cards were too small after the last change
  • The new size read fine on a laptop and too small on a large monitor: it fitted 11 columns where the reference layout fits 9. Cards now sit between 228px and 240px at every window width, and a 2560px screen shows the same 9 columns.
Fix
The sliver of each card you can see is the same everywhere
  • Past 1536px wide, stacks left 46px of each buried card showing instead of 36. That was proportionate when the same breakpoint also made the card bigger; once it did not, it just read as a gap. It is 36px at every width now.
v0.33.2
Aug 22, 2026

Cards in the visual view are a consistent size

Fix
Card size no longer depends on how wide your window is
  • Columns stretched to fill whatever space was left, so the same deck showed 208px cards on one window width and 315px on another, and widening past a certain point suddenly made every card 35% bigger. The card size was never really a choice.
  • It is one size now, around 195px, at every window width and whether or not the analytics panel is open. Wider screens get more columns instead of bigger cards.
v0.33.1
Aug 22, 2026

Visual view scrolls properly again

Performance
Cards buried in a stack no longer draw the part you cannot see
  • A card in a pile shows only its title bar, but the browser was drawing the whole card behind the one on top of it. On a full screen that was 1.6 million card pixels where the grid drew 458 thousand.
  • Now it draws the visible strip, which is 400 thousand: a quarter of what it was, and the effect is worst on foil-heavy decks because every foil card carries an extra blended layer.
  • Nothing looks different. Hovering still lifts the whole card.
Performance
The pointer is ignored while you scroll
  • Scrolling with the cursor over the cards moved the hover from card to card every frame, and each move started a blur, a layer promotion and a handful of animations nobody ever saw finish. Hover comes back the moment scrolling stops.
v0.33.0
Aug 22, 2026

A deck link can carry the view you were in

Feature
Every view has a link now
  • Only the visual view was ever in the address bar. Every other view stripped it out, so a link always dropped the reader into whichever view they happened to use last.
  • Add ?view= to any deck URL: text, visual, grid, curve, table or roles. Switching views writes it for you, so copying the address shares what you are looking at.
  • Old ?view=gallery links still open the visual view.
Fix
An unrecognised view in a link no longer matters
  • A typo or a view that no longer exists is ignored, and you get the view you last chose rather than being reset to Text.
v0.32.2
Aug 22, 2026

Grid view is actually a grid

Fix
Cards are the size a grid should be
  • Grid was borrowing the stacked view's columns, which exist so a pile has room to be tall. That put 5 cards across a 1193px page at 230px each. It now fits 8 at about 142px, the density every other deckbuilder uses.
Fix
Categories run across the page instead of down a column
  • Each category is now a full-width band with its cards flowing left to right, so a 37-card Lands section reads as a block rather than a single narrow strip while the Commander leaves most of a column empty.
  • The count sits next to the category name instead of a screen's width away from it.
v0.32.1
Aug 22, 2026

The mana caveats say what they mean

Fix
"Where this is guessing" is written in plain language
  • "Its figure is a ceiling on how hard it is" now reads "it is easier to cast than shown here", and says why: creatures can pay for its colored mana instead of lands.
  • The colorless-mana note said the model "does not pool sources" for it. It now says only the colored part of the cost was checked.
Fix
The cost-reducer note names your actual cards
  • Every deck with any caveat got a standing paragraph about affinity and delve, whether or not a single card in it had either. It now appears only when your deck holds one, and names it.
v0.32.0
Aug 22, 2026

Deck comparison uses the real mana model

Feature
Comparing decks now shows the same mana rating as the deck page
  • The comparison page still had the old pip-share panel, which rated a mana base by how well its sources matched its symbols. It could hand you a different verdict than the deck page did for the same deck, on the same screen you go to for a straight answer.
  • Each column now shows the castability model: the percentage of your own cards you can cast when they are due, the color rows, the weakest card, and the named land swaps that would fix it.
Feature
One strictness setting for the whole comparison
  • Every column is judged against the same bracket, chosen once above the columns rather than per deck. An A earned at Exhibition and a C earned at cEDH are not the same letter, so comparing them was misleading.
  • It starts at the highest bracket among the decks you are comparing, so the most serious list sets the bar.
Fix
Your commander counts here too
  • The comparison page now pulls in a commander kept in the command zone rather than in the list, the same as the deck page does.
v0.31.0
Aug 22, 2026

Grid view gains everything the visual view already had

Refactor
Grid and Visual are the same card now
  • Grid was built separately and had drifted: no select checkbox, no hover lift, no foil sheen on premium printings. It is the same card as the stacked view, laid out without the overlap, so it has all of that.
  • Only the card you are pointing at animates, so a hundred-card grid costs no more than a stack.
Fix
Your chosen view survives leaving the page
  • Picking Grid or Roles, going elsewhere and coming back put you on Text again. The address bar was overruling the view you had chosen even when it had nothing to say about it.
Feature
Mana fixes name the exact lands to swap
  • Instead of "swap 3 green sources for blue", it now says which ones: "Swap Forest ×2 and Temple Garden for blue sources." It offers up basics first, never a land that already makes the color you are short of, and only as many copies as the shortfall calls for.
Fix
The headline says "on time" when a turn late still counts
  • At the two most forgiving settings a card may arrive a turn late, so calling the number "castable on curve" was not true.
v0.30.1
Aug 22, 2026

Your commander counts toward the mana base

Fix
Decks that keep the commander in the command zone now include it
  • If your list is 99 cards with the commander kept separate, which is how Commander actually works, the mana base was never checked against the one card you cast every single game.
  • It is included now. Most decks already recorded the commander as a card and were unaffected.
v0.30.0
Aug 22, 2026

Judge your mana base against your deck's bracket

Feature
A five-step scale from Exhibition to cEDH
  • Every deck used to be held to the same bar: cast every card on curve, 93% of the time. Almost no multicolour Commander deck meets that, so nearly everything read Fair or Poor and was told to add a dozen sources it did not need. A precon and a cEDH list should not be judged the same way.
  • The scale sets two things: whether a card has to arrive on curve or merely within a turn of it, and how reliable is reliable enough. The first decides your rating, the second decides how much you are told to add.
  • It defaults to your deck's own bracket, the one already on its badge, so most people will never touch it. Change it and the choice is remembered for that deck.
Feature
Hovering a bar of the mana curve lists what is in it
  • Hover the lower part of a bar for every permanent at that cost, grouped by type with counts, and the upper part for the instants and sorceries.
  • The groups are labelled permanents and non-permanents now, which is what they are called.
Fix
Every card the mana panel names can be previewed
  • Card names in the working, the lands a search resolves to, the rocks counted as sources, the cards with a second way to cast them, all show the card on hover. Only the hardest-to-cast list did before, so the rest sent you looking a card up elsewhere.
v0.29.0
Aug 22, 2026

The mana curve now shows what stays and what does not

Feature
Each bar is split between permanents and everything else
  • There is a visible break in every bar. Below it are the cards that stay on the battlefield, above it the instants and sorceries that do not. Eight two-drops that are all creatures is a board; eight that are all removal is a reactive deck with nothing to do on turn two, and the chart could not tell you which you had.
Feature
Hovering any part of a bar lists the cards in it
  • Point at the creature slice of the three-drops and you get those creatures by name, not just a count.
Refactor
The chart uses the app's colours
  • It was six saturated hues borrowed from a charting library, which made it the loudest thing on the page. Permanents now share one muted range and non-permanents another, so the split carries the meaning and the colours stay quiet.
Fix
Analytics sections are centred in Visual mode
  • They were capped to a readable width but pinned to the left, leaving a wide empty gutter beside them.
v0.28.2
Aug 22, 2026

Switching to Roles or Grid works on the first click

Fix
Choosing a new view no longer bounces back to Text
  • Picking Roles, Grid, Curve or Table updated the address bar, and that update was being read back as a fresh instruction to show the default view. The first click appeared to reload the page and land on Text; only the second one took.
  • The address bar now only sets your view when you arrive, and never overrules a choice you just made.
v0.28.1
Aug 22, 2026

A colour can no longer read "covered" while one of its cards is short

Fix
The card driving each colour is picked by how short it is
  • It used to be picked by which card wanted the most sources, which is a different question once hybrid costs are involved. A hybrid demand is measured against a bigger pool, so a card wanting 30 black-or-green sources out of 31 available outranked one wanting 28 black out of 24. The colour reported covered while a card sat at 84%.
  • Now the colour is driven by whichever demand is furthest from being met, so what you see matches the cards underneath it.
v0.28.0
Aug 22, 2026

Split cards and adventures counted as the separate cards they are

Fix
Each half of a split card or adventure is judged on its own cost
  • You cast one half or the other, never an average of the two, so each is now measured separately. Cruel Somnophage is a {1}{B} creature and a {1}{U} adventure, which are different demands on different turns; the panel used to see only one of them.
  • This also fixes split cards being treated as far more expensive than they are. Fire // Ice is recorded as a four-drop because that is both halves added together, and it was being judged as one. It is now a pair of two-drops.
Feature
Fuse cards get their combined cost too
  • A handful of split cards say you may cast one or both halves. Those show all three options: each half, and the fused cost.
Fix
The mana base bars stay inside their track
  • A colour with a lot of spare sources could draw a bar past the end of its lane and under the number beside it. The bar is now scaled and capped against the same figure it is drawn from.
v0.27.0
Aug 21, 2026

Double-faced cards counted properly on both sides

Feature
A modal double-faced land now counts as a land and as a spell
  • Cards like Agadeem's Awakening or Sink into Stupor are a land whenever you want one, and a real spell with a real coloured cost when you do not. The mana base counted the land half and ignored the spell half entirely, so those costs were invisible to the analysis.
  • Both sides are counted now. Across real decks that is around 40 copies whose colour demands were being missed.
Fix
Transforming cards are no longer mistaken for lands
  • Growing Rites of Itlimoc is a three-mana enchantment that becomes a land later. Legion's Landing wants three attackers first. Both were being counted as lands you could play on turn one, which inflated land counts and handed out colour sources for cards you still have to cast.
  • They are scored as the spells they are, and their mana is not counted, because it sits behind a condition the deck cannot plan around.
v0.26.0
Aug 21, 2026

Hardest to cast now shows when each card actually arrives

Feature
Every hard card shows the turn it wants and the turn it gets
  • A percentage made you do the translating. Swords to Plowshares at 71% sounds like a problem, when it is just what a one-mana white spell looks like in a three-colour deck. The row now reads "T1 → T3", which cannot be misread.
  • Cards that arrive on schedule show one turn and nothing else, so the arrow only appears where there is something to look at.
Feature
Each row carries the number that fixes it
  • Hover a card in the list and it says what to add: "Add 5 more white sources to land it on turn 1. You have 19 of the 24 it wants."
  • When no mana base could fix a card it says so plainly, and when the colours are already covered it points at the land drop instead of sending you after fixing you do not need.
v0.25.0
Aug 21, 2026

The mana base score now tells decks apart

Refactor
Scored on the cards your mana base has to support, not an average of all of them
  • The old score averaged every coloured card equally, which squeezed almost every deck into the same few percent. A deck with excellent fixing and one with mediocre fixing both read about 95%, so the number was not telling you anything.
  • It now measures the card that sets the requirement in each colour, which is what a mana base is built around. Across 357 real decks the scores now spread across 26 points instead of 7, and mono-colour decks correctly come out highest.
  • Expect your grade to move. Excellent used to cover 39% of decks and now covers 21%, with most decks landing in Good or Fair. Nothing about your deck changed; the measurement got sharper.
Fix
Weak cards no longer count against you twice
  • Cards below 80% used to drag the grade down on top of the average. Now that the score is already based on your most demanding cards, docking it again was counting them twice, which pushed over half of all decks to Poor. Those cards are still listed, they just do not double-penalise.
v0.24.0
Aug 21, 2026

X spells are no longer judged as if X were zero

Fix
Cards costing {X} are judged on a turn you would actually cast them
  • A card like Black Sun's Zenith counts as a two-drop, because X is worth nothing until you pay it. The mana base panel was asking how often you can cast it on turn two, which is a turn nobody casts it on, and then calling it your deck's weakest card.
  • X spells are 2.4% of the cards the score looks at and were being named the weakest card in 30.6% of decks. That is now 3.3%, and the callout names cards with a real problem instead.
  • The colours a card asks for have not changed. {X}{B}{B} still wants two black sources. Only the turn it is measured on moved.
v0.23.1
Aug 21, 2026

Card details now check themselves every night

Fix
Missing card details are filled in from Scryfall
  • A fifth of stored cards were saved with only part of their Scryfall record, so details like which colours of mana a card makes were simply absent. Those gaps are now filled from the full record.
  • It only fills blanks. A detail the app already has is never overwritten, so nothing you see today changes into something else.
  • The cause is fixed too, not just the symptom: importing a deck used to rebuild a card's record from the incomplete details it already had, which kept the gap open. Incomplete records are now rejected, so cards stay correct from here without anything running on a schedule.
v0.23.0
Aug 21, 2026

Card data is now derived from Scryfall, not retyped

Fix
Repaired 739 cards whose stored details were wrong
  • Thirteen places in the app write cards to the database, and each one copied eleven details out of Scryfall by hand. Some dropped a detail, some copied the wrong one into the wrong slot.
  • Every card now takes its details straight from the Scryfall data saved alongside it, so no part of the app can write a card in wrong. A sweep of all 15,480 stored cards repaired 739: mana production on 492, card faces on 192, colour identity on 69, type line on 58, mana value on 35, colours on 35.
  • Mana production was the worst of them, which is why imported decks showed no mana rocks in the mana base.
v0.22.1
Aug 21, 2026

Mana rocks were not being counted at all

Fix
Every mana rock and mana creature now counts toward your mana base
  • A card's mana production is stored twice, and on a lot of saved printings the quick copy was empty. Lands survived that because there is a backup list of what each land taps for. Rocks and creatures had no backup, so they counted for nothing.
  • On a five-color precon this was hiding 13 sources: every Signet, Chromatic Lantern, Faeburrow Elder and Timeless Lotus in the deck, plus ten lands the backup list did not know.
  • Both the mana base score and the pips and sources breakdown were affected, and they now agree with each other.
v0.22.0
Aug 21, 2026

Ramp counts, and so does what ramp costs you

Feature
Spells that fetch a land now count as mana sources
  • Cultivate, Farseek, Rampant Growth, Nature's Lore, Solemn Simulacrum and around 80 others were invisible to the mana base panel, because they make no mana themselves. They put a land onto the battlefield, so they now count from the turn after you could cast them, for the colors they can actually find in your deck.
  • Cards whose search depends on something you do not control are still left out: a sword that has to connect, a knight that only triggers when an opponent is ahead, an ability you have to pay for again.
Fix
Ramp now moves the turn your expensive cards are judged on
  • Counting ramp as extra sources without admitting it also casts your six-drop on turn five would have made every greedy curve look better than it plays. Decks with enough ramp now have their bigger spells judged a turn early, which is when they are really cast, with one fewer card drawn to find the colors.
  • The two pull against each other on purpose. A Grave Titan in a ramp-heavy list gains eight new sources and still comes out slightly harder to cast.
Feature
The panel shows which mana values moved
  • Under the mana base working, a new line says which costs are being judged early and on what turn, so a number that moved against you explains itself.
v0.21.0
Aug 21, 2026

Fetchlands count for what they can actually find

Fix
Lands that search your library now count as mana sources
  • Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse, Fabled Passage and Prismatic Vista counted as colorless, because they make no mana on their own. The mana base panel now works out which lands they can find in your deck and counts them for those colors.
  • In a two-color deck with three of them, a triple-pip five-drop was being reported 15 points harder to cast than it is.
Fix
A fetchland with nothing to find no longer gets credit for it
  • Windswept Heath was counted as a green and white source whether or not the deck held a single land it could fetch. It is now judged against your actual list, and the panel says when one comes up empty.
Feature
The panel shows which cards it counted as sources
  • Open the working under the mana base and there is a new list: every search land with the colors it reaches in this deck, and every mana rock and creature with the turn it starts counting from.
v0.20.1
Aug 20, 2026

The analytics panel stays how you left it

Feature
Your open or closed analytics panel is remembered
  • Close the panel to read a deck at full width and it stays closed on the next deck, and after a refresh. Reopen it and that sticks too.
  • The setting is per browser, so a phone and a desktop can each keep their own.
  • Narrowing a window still hides the panel because there is no room for it, but that does not change what you chose on a wide screen.
Fix
The two panel buttons now match
  • The left nav opened with a menu icon while the analytics panel used a panel icon. They are now the same icon mirrored, each one pointing at the side it opens.
v0.20.0
Aug 20, 2026

Analytics designed for the width it gets

Feature
A mana base chart built for the full-page view
  • Close the analytics panel and the mana base now shows a single axis instead of stretched bars. The line is having exactly enough: left of it is short, right is spare, and the length is by how many sources.
  • Bars carry the color they describe, so a row tells you which color it is before you read the label. Whether a shortfall actually costs you games is in the number and the icon beside it.
  • The figures and the instructions sit side by side underneath, so a shortfall and the fix for it are read together.
Feature
The mana curve uses the room instead of spreading out in it
  • The chart is capped rather than stretched, since widening it only pushed eight bars further apart. Average CMC, non-land count and your heaviest slot now sit beside it with the key, instead of drifting to the far edge.
Feature
Hover anything the panel names to see what is behind it
  • Hover a color's bar for the cards wanting that color, hardest to cast first. A color being eleven short raises the question of which cards it is failing, and that is the top of that list.
  • Hover any card name in the breakdown to see the card. A name on its own does not tell you whether a claim about its cost is right.
Fix
A color three sources short no longer looks like one twenty-three short
  • Any shortfall was flagged as equally severe, so a deck with two healthy colors read as four sick ones. A color that is short but still working now reads as a warning.
v0.19.1
Aug 20, 2026

One mana panel, five roles

Refactor
Color Balance folded into the Mana Base panel
  • Two panels were grading your mana base and disagreeing with each other. There is now one verdict.
  • The pip and source counts survive. Open Show the math for Pips and sources, where each number opens to the cards behind it: which cards ask for blue, and which cards produce it.
Feature
Roles now scores five jobs instead of four
  • Board wipes are counted separately from targeted removal. Ten answers to one thing and none to a full board is a real gap, and lumping them together hid it.
  • Removal stays a single category for filing cards. Only the scorecard and its two lists split.
Fix
Card previews only appear when you hover the card's name
  • Crossing a row to reach a checkbox or a Set cell no longer throws a card image over the list.
v0.19.0
Aug 20, 2026

Four new ways to look at a deck

Feature
Curve, Matrix, Table and Roles join Text and Visual
  • Curve stacks your cards in a column per mana value, with a bar showing the shape. Lands sit apart, since they are played rather than cast.
  • Grid shows every card at full size. Visual fans cards into overlapping piles where all you see of most of them is a name bar; Grid is the other one, with the art at a size you can read.
  • Grid carries the same tools as the rest of the deck view: right-click menus, selection, and dragging a card from one category into another.
  • Table is a sortable grid with eleven columns: cost, CMC, type, role, colors, color identity, power and toughness, rarity, set, finish and price. Click a column to sort, shift-click to add a tiebreaker, and pick which columns you want from the Columns button. Your choice is remembered.
  • Roles groups cards by what they do and scores the four jobs every deck has to cover, so you can tell at a glance whether the deck is actually built.
  • Text and Visual stay where they were. The four new views live together under one menu beside them.
  • Change a card's printing and finish straight from the table. Click any Set or Finish cell to pick from every printing, with each one's available finishes and prices.
Feature
The mana base panel now tells you how to fix what it finds
  • Every shortfall comes with an instruction and a number. Swap a source you already run, add one dual that closes two shortfalls at once, or cut the single card setting a color's requirement on its own.
  • When three colors are short at once it says so plainly, because that is a statement about the deck rather than a land you can add.
v0.18.0
Aug 20, 2026

The mana base panel now knows what turn it is

Feature
A new Mana Base panel scores how reliably your deck casts its own cards
  • Every card is judged on the turn it actually comes down, so a double-pip three-drop is treated as the hard card it is and a triple-pip eight-drop as the easy one it is. The old reading counted mana symbols, which gets that backwards.
  • Each color names the single card driving its requirement, so you can see exactly which card is asking for more sources than you have.
  • Games where you missed a land drop are left out of the score. That is a land count problem, not a color one, and mixing them hid both.
  • Hybrid costs are read properly: a card costing red-or-white counts every red and every white source, and counts your duals once rather than twice.
Feature
Cards that can be cast more than one way are priced both ways
  • Kicker, flashback, evoke, foretell, escape, and the two halves of split and adventure cards each get their own figure.
  • Only the printed cost counts toward the deck score. A kicker you never pay should not drag down a deck that plays fine.
  • Cost reducers like delve and affinity let a card land earlier than its printed turn, which makes its colors harder, not easier. Both ends are shown, because how much you save depends on the game.
Feature
The panel shows its work
  • Open “Show the math” for the sources-needed table at your land count, the hardest cards to cast, what the model assumes, and where it admits it is guessing.
  • A deck can no longer be graded Excellent while one of its cards is nearly uncastable. The grade drops a band and names the cards responsible.
Performance
Adding a batch of cards recalculates once, not once per card
  • Pasting a twenty-card list used to update the deck twenty times over. Now it updates once.
  • The analysis itself is about thirty times faster, so the deck page stays responsive while you build.
v0.17.1
Aug 19, 2026

Rough edges from the redesign

Fix
Card categories are easier to pick out again
  • Category headings sat at the same size as the card names under them, so the groups ran together
  • The line under each heading is back, which marks where one group ends and the next begins
Fix
The bracket badge opens for everyone again
  • On a deck you don't own the badge did nothing when clicked and showed only its number on hover
  • Clicking it now explains the bracket, why the deck was assessed that way, any Game Changers it found, and the official Wizards bracket guidelines
  • Owners still get the picker for setting their own bracket
Refactor
The dashboard stops showing you the same decks three times
  • "Jump back in" was the first three rows of Your Decks, and anything public you had just edited also turned up under Recent Community Contributions
  • It now shows the decks you last opened, including other people's decks and precons you were reading
  • Your own decks no longer appear under Recent Community Contributions
Fix
Long lists no longer jump sideways while loading
  • Scrolling a long list could briefly show a second scrollbar beside it and shift the whole page across
  • Most noticeable on Windows and Linux, or on a Mac with a mouse attached, where scrollbars take up space
Fix
A card page now shows the decks running it properly
  • Each deck showed a wall of raw text where its description should have been
  • Decks are now drawn the same way they are everywhere else in the app, with a marker for how the card is used in each one
Refactor
Combos moved to the bottom of the deck page, with pictures
  • With the analytics panel closed, combos sit at the end and show the actual cards rather than a list of names
  • The panel keeps the compact list, since there is no room for art there
Refactor
Card rows dropped the note icon
  • Imported decks marked every single card with a note, so the icon appeared on all of them and meant nothing
  • Reading and writing notes both live in the row menu, and imports no longer add a note just to record the set
v0.17.0
Aug 19, 2026

A single design system across the whole app

Feature
Pin your deck's Commander bracket
  • The bracket badge on a deck you own is now a picker, so you can state the bracket you actually play the deck at
  • Leave it alone and the bracket keeps assessing itself from the decklist as before
  • Once you pin one it stays put no matter how the list changes, and clearing it hands the deck back to the automatic assessment
Fix
Cards played from hand no longer land on top of each other
  • In the playtester on a shorter board, everything you played piled into the same spot in the top-left corner
  • Creatures, lands and everything else now fill their own areas of the battlefield and step across as you play more
  • On a very short board the three areas sit side by side instead of stacking
Fix
Deck descriptions edit in place, and history stays out of the way
  • The description spans the full width of the deck and is edited where it sits, with a header like every other section
  • Deck history is collapsed by default and expands when you want it
Fix
Tooltips and menus sit on a lighter surface without the glow
  • Hover previews and menus were darker than the page behind them, which made them recede instead of lift
  • The deck itself lost the unnecessary glowing wrapper, so Suggestions and Discussion match the deck rather than framing it differently
Fix
The printing you pick for a commander now sticks when the deck is created
  • Choosing a Secret Lair, showcase, borderless or extended-art version used to create the deck with the plain version from that set instead
  • Changing a commander on an existing deck was already correct; only deck creation was affected
Fix
Card images show a proper loading state instead of a black box
  • Drawing a card in the playtester, opening the mana base, or hovering a card name showed a black rectangle until the image arrived
  • You now see the card's outline with its name while it loads, then the art fades in
  • Cards missing artwork fall back to a labelled placeholder rather than an empty space
Feature
Filters are rebuilt and can now answer more questions
  • Start with a Filter button and add only the filters you want; each one appears as a chip you can edit or remove
  • Color filtering gained real operators: include, exclude, are exactly, and are within
  • "Mono-red only" and "anything without blue" are now expressible, which the old color toggles could not do
  • Sorting is one control: the label carries the direction and clicking it reverses the order
Refactor
The dashboard leads with your decks and your work
  • Jump back in shows the decks you edited most recently, so you can pick up where you left off
  • Your decks are a scannable list with card counts and colors rather than a wall of art
  • Community and Following feeds are horizontal shelves below your own decks
  • Library owns all browsing of your decks, so the two pages no longer duplicate each other
Refactor
One consistent look across every page, dialog and menu
  • Every deck is drawn by the same card, wherever it appears
  • Toolbar controls share one height, one corner radius and one border
  • Buttons differ by color rather than by shape, and every dialog and menu shares one surface
  • Card names in deck lists have room to breathe: the quantity moved onto the name and the row menu no longer holds a column open
v0.16.1
Aug 17, 2026

Set your deck's bracket yourself

Feature
Click the bracket number on your deck to change it. Until you do, we keep assessing it from your decklist as before
  • Pick any bracket from 1 to 5, with a one-line description of each
  • Once you choose, the bracket stays put no matter how you edit the deck — it won't quietly move on you again
  • "Re-assess automatically" hands it back to us if you change your mind
  • An info button shows the official Wizards of the Coast bracket definitions, so you can check what you're picking
  • You can also see why we assessed the deck the way we did, including which Game Changers we found
v0.16.0
Aug 17, 2026

A new look, if you want it

Feature
There's a second interface now, called Editorial. Turn it on in Settings > Appearance, and switch back any time
  • Quieter and flatter: your deck's name leads the page instead of the button bar, and hairlines replace the boxes around everything
  • Card counts, prices, and stats now line up in columns, so you can compare them at a glance
  • Your color theme finally reaches the buttons and highlights, not just the background
  • The commander art no longer sits blurred behind your card list, which makes long lists easier to read
Feature
In Editorial, the deck toolbar keeps its labels on phones instead of collapsing into a row of unlabelled icons
  • Sort, Group, Select, View, Highlighter, and Filters now say what they are on a small screen
  • Your deck's tags fade out at the edge so you can tell there are more to scroll to
Feature
In Editorial, foil cards are marked with an iridescent underline instead of a plain one
  • The old marker looked exactly like a link underline, so it was easy to miss or misread
Refactor
In Editorial, the bar at the top of every page shows where you are and one step back, rather than the whole trail
  • The sidebar drops its section headings and its Recently Viewed list, which duplicated what Cmd+K already does
v0.15.68
Aug 16, 2026

Search any printing by set

Feature
In the printing picker you can now search any set by name or code (e.g. "Zendikar" or "znr") and it finds that printing even if it hasn't been loaded yet — no need to scroll through everything
v0.15.67
Aug 16, 2026

Faster printing picker

Performance
Choosing a printing now loads only the newest 175 versions up front and loads the rest as you scroll — so cards with hundreds of printings (Forest, etc.) open instantly instead of fetching every version you'll never look at
  • Scrolling back up re-shows already-loaded printings with no reload, and pages are cached for the session so reopening the picker is instant
  • Requests still route through our rate-limited proxy and load one page at a time, so fast scrolling can't overload Scryfall
v0.15.66
Aug 16, 2026

Full deck history

Feature
A new Deck History log at the bottom of each deck records every change — not just cards, but also privacy toggles, renames, commander changes, tag edits, and collaborator adds/removes — with who made each change and when
  • Only you and your collaborators can see it; it's never shown to the public
v0.15.65
Aug 15, 2026

Snap-to-grid in the playtester

Feature
Cards on the free-form playtest battlefield now snap to a light grid, so they line up neatly when you place them near each other while the board still feels free
  • A preview outline shows exactly where a card will land while you drag
v0.15.64
Aug 15, 2026

Close card previews on mobile

Fix
Card previews opened by tapping a card name on mobile now have a close (X) button, so they no longer get stuck covering the screen
v0.15.63
Aug 15, 2026

Editors can actually edit

Fix
Collaborators you share a deck with as an editor can now make changes — adding, removing, moving, and recategorizing cards all save correctly
  • Owner-only actions (privacy, comment lock, managing collaborators) stay restricted to the deck owner
v0.15.62
Aug 15, 2026

Private deck share warning

Fix
Copying the link to a private deck now warns you it's private — the Share menu shows a Private badge, and copying explains others can't open it until you make the deck public
v0.15.61
Aug 15, 2026

Roomier lists + card display options

Feature
Deck lists reclaim the selection-checkbox column during normal browsing — checkboxes only appear once you turn on Select, so category columns sit closer together
Feature
New View menu (in the card toolbar) to show or hide mana cost, price, and rarity-colored set symbols per card — defaults to mana cost only
  • Your choices are saved to your account, so they follow you across devices
v0.15.60
Aug 14, 2026

Smarter suggestion adds

Feature
Add a suggested card to your main deck, sideboard, or maybeboard, and pick a specific printing — via the new chevron menu next to the + button
  • The + one-click adds the recommended printing to your main deck; the chevron menu lets you choose a board or open the printing picker (set, art, foil)
Feature
Hovering a suggestion now shows labeled EDHREC stats — Synergy, Inclusion %, and how many decks run the card
Feature
The two percentages on each suggestion now have tooltips explaining they're Synergy (fit with your commander) and Inclusion (how common the card is)
v0.15.59
Aug 14, 2026

Usable Suggestions add button

Fix
The add (+) button now uses the app's standard subtle button style and floats over the right end of each suggestion on hover, clear of the card preview
  • Card names keep their natural position (no extra left padding), and the preview opens above your cursor
v0.15.58
Aug 13, 2026

Suggestions add button + preview polish

Fix
Suggestion card names no longer have extra left padding — the add (+) button floats in the list's existing indent instead of pushing every name over
Fix
The card preview now opens above your cursor in Suggestions, so it no longer covers the + button or the card names
v0.15.57
Aug 12, 2026

Smoother suggestions

Fix
Adding a card from Suggestions now just removes that card from the list instead of flashing the whole panel
  • Suggestions are fetched once per commander and filtered as your deck changes, so there's no reload when you add a card
Feature
The add (+) button now sits on the left of each suggestion, next to the card name
Feature
Added cards now glide out of the Suggestions list with a quick, lightweight animation
v0.15.56
Aug 12, 2026

Deck comparison fixes

Fix
Deck comparison now compares only the cards in each deck, not sideboard or maybeboard cards
  • A deck with cards benched in its maybeboard no longer shows those as differences, so the shared/unique counts match the deck's real 100 cards
Fix
Adding a deck from the comparison screen now opens the picker in place instead of jumping back to a single deck
Fix
The deck list in the compare picker now scrolls when it's longer than the dialog
v0.15.55
Aug 11, 2026

Deck descriptions render correctly

Fix
Mana symbols in deck descriptions now render as icons instead of raw {W}{U}{R} text
  • Descriptions everywhere now use one shared text renderer, so formatting is consistent and can't drift between views
Fix
Hovering a card name in a description now shows the card preview instead of an empty box
v0.15.54
Aug 11, 2026

Faster counters, equip more, cleaner marquee

Feature
Adding a counter to a card is now one click
  • Hover a battlefield card and click +1/+1 to add one instantly, or use the caret for any other counter type — no more digging through the menu
Fix
You can now attach Equipment and Auras to Vehicles and other artifacts, not just creatures
  • Cards like crewable Vehicles are valid attach targets in the playtester now
Fix
Drag-selecting cards on the battlefield no longer shows the browser's blue highlight
v0.15.53
Aug 10, 2026

Reliable card search, richer descriptions, smoother adding

Fix
Card search no longer fails with rate-limit errors
  • All card lookups now go through the app instead of each browser hitting Scryfall directly, so searches stay fast and reliable and never trip Scryfall's rate limits
Fix
Deck descriptions now show real mana symbols instead of raw {W}{U}{R} text
  • Mana tokens in any description render as their proper symbols; broken card previews in descriptions are fixed too
Feature
Adding cards from the full Add Cards search no longer clears your search
  • Your search and results stay put after adding a card, so you can quickly add several in a row — each add still confirms with a toast
Fix
Hovering a card while scrying or surveiling now shows a full-size preview
  • The small cards in the scry/surveil view are now readable — hover the thumbnail to zoom
v0.15.52
Aug 6, 2026

Drop cards onto the deck to put them on top

Feature
The deck is now a drop target in the playtester — drag a card onto it to put it on top of your library
  • Works from any zone, just like dropping onto the graveyard, exile, or hand; drag a whole selection to move it all on top
v0.15.51
Aug 6, 2026

Decks group themselves by function automatically

Feature
Cards are now grouped into functional categories (Ramp, Removal, Card Draw, Counterspells…) automatically, with no setup
  • Grouping uses each card's Scryfall data, so a new deck is already organized the moment you open it
  • Move a card to a different category any time — your choice always sticks; only unmoved cards follow the automatic grouping
Refactor
Removed the manual Auto-Categorize / templates / reset controls — categorization just happens now
  • You can still create, rename, reorder, and delete your own categories and move cards into them
v0.15.50
Aug 6, 2026

Playtest board: deck-top drag, tidier placement, easier menus

Feature
Drag the top card off your deck straight onto the battlefield, graveyard, exile, or hand
  • Grab the top of the library and drop it where you want it — the card reveals as you drag; a plain click still draws
Feature
Hovering a card raises it above its neighbors so its menu is always reachable
  • No more digging under overlapping cards to reach the three-dot menu
Fix
Cards added to the field now land neatly next to each other instead of spread far apart on wide screens
  • Placement now follows the actual card size, so freshly played cards sit edge to edge on any monitor
Refactor
Removed the auto-stack battlefield layout — the free-form board is now the single, consistent mode
v0.15.49
Aug 6, 2026

Zoom the free-form playtest board

Feature
Added a zoom control to the free-form battlefield so you can size the whole board to your screen
  • Zoom out to fit a crowded board on a small monitor, or in to read the details — the battlefield and hand cards scale together and always stay the same size
  • Click the percentage to snap back to 100%
v0.15.48
Aug 6, 2026

Consistent, readable playtest cards on every screen

Fix
Playtest cards are now a fixed, readable size instead of scaling with your window
  • Cards no longer shrink on small monitors or balloon on wide ones, and hand cards now match the size of cards on the battlefield exactly
v0.15.47
Aug 6, 2026

Cleaner card snapping and matched hand sizing

Feature
Snapped cards now line up flush AND align at the top and bottom edges
  • When two cards snap together they sit perfectly side by side, tops and bottoms even, so the board tiles cleanly
Feature
Hand cards now match the battlefield card size, so a card no longer grows when you drag it onto the board
  • Cards keep the same size from hand to battlefield (capped to fit the hand row), and dragging one from your hand can now snap it to a neighbor just like moving one already on the board
v0.15.46
Aug 6, 2026

Snap cards edge-to-edge in the playtester

Feature
Free-form battlefield cards now snap flush to a neighbor when you drag an edge close to one
  • As you drag, the two edges that will join light up so you can see the snap before you let go — get close and release to line them up, or drop anywhere else to place freely
  • Only snaps when an edge is genuinely near another card's edge; it never pulls a card toward a neighbor on its own
v0.15.45
Aug 6, 2026

A bigger, clearer playtest table

Feature
Opening the playtester now collapses the sidebar to give you a wider play area
  • The sidebar snaps back to your usual setting the moment you leave the playtester
Feature
Creatures on the battlefield now show their power/toughness, and it updates live with counters
  • A clear P/T readout sits in the corner of each creature; adding +1/+1 or -1/-1 counters bumps the numbers and tints them green when buffed or red when reduced
Feature
Counters on cards are larger and easier to read at a glance
  • Bigger, bolder counter badges so you can read the count without squinting
Feature
Free-form battlefield cards are larger for a more Archidekt-like table
  • Combined with the collapsed sidebar, there's more room and bigger, more legible cards
v0.15.44
Aug 1, 2026

A more consistent, coherent app

Fix
The life tracker's center controls no longer overlap a player's counters or commander-damage after you swipe
  • Swiped panels now leave room for the floating control hub in the middle of the board
Fix
The life tracker's main life page now shows all of a player's active tokens and markers, not just Monarch and Initiative
  • City's Blessing plus poison, energy, experience, treasure, storm, and commander tax now appear as compact badges when active
Fix
Playing cards from your hand in the playtester now spreads them out instead of stacking them on the exact same spot
  • Each card cascades to the next open slot in its area so you can still see the cards underneath
Fix
You can now cancel out of the playtester's opening-hand screen and return to your deck
  • A "Back to deck" button on the mulligan dialog means you're no longer locked in once a playtest starts
Feature
In the playtester's free-form battlefield, the card you just dragged now comes to the top of the pile
  • Dragging a card over others brings it to the front regardless of when it was played, plus a "Bring to Front" option in the card menu
Feature
Drag an Equipment or Aura onto a creature in the free-form battlefield to attach it
  • The creature lights up with an "Attach" badge while you drag over it; drop to attach, or drag onto a different creature to move it
Fix
Equipment and auras no longer get stuck raised over their creature after you move the stack
  • The hover-lift on attached cards now clears as soon as you start dragging
Fix
Card search no longer shows a scary "Scryfall API error" when a search simply has no matches
  • A query that matches nothing now shows a normal "No cards found" empty state instead of an error
Fix
The playtester's "+ Token" button now recognizes more of your deck's token-makers
  • Token detection now reads each card's rules text (create a token, Investigate, Fabricate, and more) instead of guessing from the card name, so decks that make Clues, Treasures, and the like enable the button
Fix
Deck suggestions now include artifacts (and any other category EDHREC provides)
  • Mana Artifacts, Utility Artifacts, Battles, and any future EDHREC category now appear in Suggestions — previously artifacts were dropped because they aren't a single EDHREC bucket
Fix
Adding a card to a deck no longer flashes/reloads the whole card list
  • The card list now updates in place when you add a card, instead of briefly blanking the section to a loading skeleton (and no longer closes an open card popup)
Fix
Filtering and sorting your decks now covers all of them, not just the first page
  • Color/search filters and name/date sorting on your Library and Dashboard decks previously only looked at the decks already scrolled into view; they now load your full deck list first so every matching deck shows
Feature
Easier multi-select in the deck editor
  • Once you've selected a card, clicking anywhere on a card (list or visual) selects it — no need to hit the small checkbox — while the ⋮ menu stays available
  • A checkbox in each category header selects or deselects the whole group at once
  • Cards no longer drag by accident while you're multi-selecting, and the row no longer shifts sideways when the select box appears on hover
Refactor
Browse pages now share one look
  • Precons, Library, and your Dashboard use the same page header and controls, so moving between them feels consistent while each keeps its own tools
Refactor
Loading spinners, empty states, and keyboard-shortcut keys now look the same everywhere
  • Unified hundreds of one-off loading, "nothing here", and shortcut-key styles into shared components for a more polished, coherent feel
v0.15.43
Jul 31, 2026

UX fixes across the app

Fix
Single-player life counter no longer risks double-counting a tap (−2 instead of −1) on touch devices
Fix
"Clear Filters" on the deck grid now resets your filters in place instead of reloading the whole page
Fix
A few dashboard section headings that were rendering unstyled now display correctly
Fix
Larger, easier-to-tap +/− buttons for commander damage and counters on the life tracker
Fix
Fixed an invisible panel in Settings → Appearance and removed the development banner from the dashboard
v0.15.42
Jul 31, 2026

Faster online game join/host flow

Feature
Your display name is now remembered between online games, so you don't have to retype it every time you join or host
Feature
Press Enter to join or start an online game instead of reaching for the button
v0.15.41
Jul 30, 2026

Add any card to your playtest game

Feature
New "Add Card" button in playtest lets you search for any Magic card — not just what's in your deck — and drop it into your hand, battlefield, library, graveyard, or exile
  • Useful for goldfishing against a hypothetical draw or testing how your deck plays against a specific card.
v0.15.40
Jul 30, 2026

Multi-select and bulk move in graveyard/exile

Feature
Click cards in the graveyard or exile viewer to select several at once (shift-click to select a range), then move them all to hand, battlefield, library top/bottom, or the other zone in one click
v0.15.39
Jul 30, 2026

Free-form battlefield layout

Feature
New "Free-Form" toggle in the playtest toolbar lets you drag any permanent to any spot on the battlefield, instead of cards auto-grouping by name
  • Switch back to "Auto-Stack" any time — your board, your call.
  • Newly played or created cards land in an open spot automatically; drag them wherever you like from there.
v0.15.38
Jul 30, 2026

Win rate badge on your dashboard

Feature
Your dashboard now shows your overall win rate next to "Your Decks", based on every game you've tracked
  • Counts games from your own decks and any online games you joined.
  • Only shows up once you have at least one finished game.
v0.15.37
Jul 30, 2026

Life counter: low-life warning and K.O. animations

Feature
Your life total now pulses with a red glow once it drops to 5 or below, on both the multiplayer and single-player life counter
Feature
Getting eliminated now plays a small animation with a randomized flavor message, instead of a plain static overlay
v0.15.36
Jul 30, 2026

Right-click menu for the playtest battlefield

Feature
Right-click anywhere on the empty battlefield for quick access to Draw, Untap All, Next Turn, Shuffle Library, Add Token, Proliferate, Select All, Undo/Redo, and Reset Game
Fix
The Shuffle Library keyboard shortcut (S) now actually works
v0.15.35
Jul 30, 2026

Playtest battlefield reliability fixes

Fix
Equipment and auras no longer disappear when their host permanent stacks with another copy of itself on the battlefield
Fix
Undo now correctly reverses tapping/untapping multiple selected cards at once, instead of getting stuck
Fix
Tokens are now properly destroyed when they leave the battlefield by any means (drag to graveyard, sent to library, etc.), instead of lingering as ghost cards
Fix
+1/+1 and other counters no longer incorrectly persist on a permanent that leaves and later returns to the battlefield
Fix
Undoing "Next Turn" now also returns the turn's free draw to your library
Fix
Destroying a token can now be undone
Fix
Life tracker: undoing commander damage now correctly restores the specific commander (main or partner) that dealt it, instead of sometimes affecting the wrong one
Fix
Life tracker: undo now cancels any damage still batching in the background, preventing a stale change from silently reappearing in the game log a moment later
Fix
Life tracker: an eliminated player's commander can no longer deal further tracked damage
v0.15.34
Jul 28, 2026

Faster page loads across most of the app

Performance
Most pages (dashboard browsing, explore, precons, library, settings, notes, docs, and deck pages) now load from cache instead of being rebuilt from scratch on every single visit
  • This should be especially noticeable on public deck pages and browsing pages.
Fix
Signed-in users may briefly see the sidebar in its default state for a moment on first load before it snaps to their last saved open/closed preference
v0.15.33
Jul 28, 2026

Fixed a wrong "N of 100 filtered" count on the deck view

Fix
The card count under the deck's filter bar no longer undercounts decks with stacked cards (like multiple copies of a basic land in one row), and no longer shows at all unless a filter is actually active
v0.15.32
Jul 28, 2026

Fixed accented commander names not matching search, and a visual glitch in search results

Fix
Searching a commander or deck name with an accent (e.g. "eowyn" for Éowyn) now matches, even without typing the accent
Fix
Fixed overlapping/garbled rows that could appear in the search (Cmd+K) results list
v0.15.31
Jul 28, 2026

Tag search in Cmd+K now finds public decks too

Feature
Searching by tag in Cmd+K now finds matching public decks from anyone, not just your own
v0.15.30
Jul 28, 2026

Scry and surveil now support real drag-and-drop

Feature
You can now drag cards directly to sort a scry or surveil, instead of only clicking buttons
  • Cards for library, bottom, and graveyard now show as columns side by side — drag a card into the column you want, or drag within a column to set its exact order. Quick-assign buttons are still there for fast sorting without dragging.
v0.15.29
Jul 28, 2026

Search (Cmd+K) got a lot more powerful

Fix
Search (Cmd+K) can now reliably find public decks and precons by name, not just your own
  • Previously, a signed-in search could only find your own decks by name — someone else's public deck, or a precon, would only turn up if its commander happened to match too.
Feature
Search (Cmd+K) now searches your decks by tag, groups decks that share a commander together, and shows every result type under its own labeled section
  • Results are now organized into Decks, Tags, Users, Notes, and Cards sections, and decks with the same commander (like several precons) cluster under one heading instead of showing as separate, unrelated rows.
v0.15.28
Jul 28, 2026

Deck comparison cards now match the deck view

Fix
Card names in the deck comparison view are now clickable links, matching the underlined look of the regular deck view
v0.15.27
Jul 28, 2026

Fixed unscrollable deck list in Compare Decks, plus a closer visual match to the deck view

Fix
The deck list in the "Compare Decks" picker can now be scrolled
  • The list was silently clipped instead of scrolling, hiding every deck past the first few.
Fix
Cards in the deck comparison results now use the exact same row style as the regular deck view
  • Previously the comparison page had its own hand-rolled card row that looked and behaved differently from every other card list in the app.
Refactor
Replaced the comparison page's default blue/purple deck-identity colors with a set that doesn't lead with that pairing
v0.15.26
Jul 28, 2026

Clearer card suggestions — see why each card is recommended

Feature
Card suggestions now show why a card is recommended when you hover it, and explain what the synergy/inclusion percentages mean
  • An info icon in the dialog header explains what "synergy" and "inclusion %" mean, and hovering any suggested card now shows the same reasoning as a badge.
Feature
The highest-signal suggestions (High Synergy, Top Cards, New Cards) are now grouped separately under "Recommended for this commander" and open by default
  • Previously these were mixed in alphabetically with browse-by-type groups (Creatures, Instants, etc.) and started collapsed, so the best suggestions were easy to miss.
v0.15.25
Jul 27, 2026

Smoother scry and surveil — no more jumping cards, faster hover previews

Fix
Clicking through cards while scrying or surveiling no longer shifts the next card out from under your cursor
  • The list of cards you're sorting now stays put as you assign cards to piles, instead of jumping down the screen each time a pile appears.
Feature
Every pile in the scry/surveil dialog can now be reordered, not just the top-of-library pile
  • Bottom-of-library and graveyard piles now have the same up/down reorder controls as the top pile.
Performance
Card hover previews in the scry/surveil dialog no longer cause the whole dialog to lag while sorting a lot of cards
v0.15.24
Jul 27, 2026

Compare decks from any public deck page, plus a more polished comparison view

Feature
Added a Compare button to the deck toolbar when viewing someone else's public deck
  • Previously, comparing against another deck was only reachable from your own decks — now you can start a comparison from any public deck you're viewing.
Feature
The deck comparison page now shows a mana curve and color balance breakdown for each compared deck
  • The same mana-curve chart and color-balance analysis from the single-deck view are now available side by side for every deck in a comparison, under a new "Mana Analytics" section.
Fix
The deck comparison page now uses the same card art, mana symbols, and panel styling as the rest of the app
  • Commander thumbnails and mana costs render through the app's shared components instead of one-off styling, so the page looks and feels consistent with the rest of edhlib.
v0.15.23
Jul 26, 2026

24 more fetch lands added, plus a color-identity fix for command lands

Feature
Added 24 land-searching lands that were completely missing from the Mana Base Builder, including a full "Landscape" cycle and the Streets of New Capenna shard lands
  • Lands like Krosan Verge, the Panorama cycle, and the "Landscape" cycle now show both what they actually tap for and what colors they can fetch, so it's clear which is which.
Fix
Several command lands (Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion and similar) were incorrectly showing as colorless-identity, when they're really restricted to specific colors
  • These lands only tap for colorless mana, but a second ability has real color requirements — they now show up only for decks that match those colors, same as the real card.
v0.15.22
Jul 26, 2026

Fetch lands now show their real, colorless identity

Fix
Fetch lands (Windswept Heath, Polluted Delta, and similar) were incorrectly treated as having a real color identity in the Mana Base Builder
  • Fetch lands are colorless and legal in any deck — they now show up correctly for decks of any color, instead of being hidden from decks outside their "attributed" colors.
  • They no longer count toward your mana-source totals, since they don't actually tap for mana on their own.
  • The Mana Base Builder still shows their practical colors (e.g. "fetches G/W") so they're easy to find when browsing or filtering, even though that's separate from their real, colorless identity.
v0.15.21
Jul 26, 2026

Mana Base Builder: correctness, advanced filters, and a responsive layout

Fix
The Mana Base Builder now correctly detects what's already in your main deck
  • Previously it counted sideboard and maybeboard lands as part of your main deck's mana base.
  • Lands already in your sideboard or maybeboard now show a small badge instead, without counting toward your 100-card total.
Fix
Going over the 100-card limit now shows a warning instead of blocking you
  • You can add lands even if it pushes your deck over 100 cards — you'll just see a clear warning first.
Feature
Added advanced color filters — "Only" and "Not", alongside the existing "Includes"
  • "Only" shows lands that don't produce any color outside your selection.
  • "Not" excludes any land that touches a selected color.
  • Makes it much easier to find exactly the lands you need for a specific mana base gap.
Refactor
Visual and layout pass to match the rest of the app
  • Fixed the mana-source counts overflowing/truncating at narrower widths.
  • The dialog now reflows into a scrollable single column on smaller screens instead of clipping.
v0.15.20
Jul 26, 2026

Choose where a card goes while picking its printing

Feature
The card search results now let you pick a destination (Main Deck, Sideboard, or Maybeboard) and a buylist toggle before choosing a printing
  • Previously, choosing a specific printing always added the card straight to your main deck — you had to find it afterward and move it manually.
  • Now you can set the destination once and it applies whether you quick-add a card or pick a specific printing first.
v0.15.19
Jul 26, 2026

Mana Base Builder card-count and land-color fixes

Fix
The Mana Base Builder's card-count total could be wrong when a deck had multiple printings of the same land, incorrectly blocking you from adding more lands
  • Decks with two different printings of the same land (a common case for basics) were undercounted, making the dialog think the deck was already over 100 cards when it wasn't.
  • The total now correctly counts every printing, so the "exceeds 100 cards" limit only shows up when it's actually true.
Fix
Several lands were tagged with the wrong colors in the Mana Base Builder, causing them to show up under the wrong color filters
  • Checked every land's stored color data against Scryfall and corrected the ones that were wrong (including a colorless land that was miscategorized as producing two colors).
v0.15.18
Jul 26, 2026

Compare your deck against any public deck, not just your own

Feature
The deck comparison picker can now search every public deck, not just your own
  • Compare Decks now defaults to searching public decks from the whole community, with a toggle to switch back to just your own decks.
  • Public results show who each deck belongs to, so you always know whose deck you're comparing against.
v0.15.17
Jul 26, 2026

More reliable printing changes, and surge/ripple/galaxy foil labels

Fix
Switching a card to a printing not seen before could fail with a generic Scryfall error even though the printing was valid
  • The lookup now automatically retries on a temporary network hiccup instead of failing outright.
  • A background caching step no longer blocks the printing change if it stumbles — your selection always goes through as long as the printing itself is real.
Feature
The Choose Version picker now shows the real name of special foil treatments
  • Surge Foil, Ripple Foil, Galaxy Foil, Rainbow Foil, and other named finishes now show their actual name instead of just "Foil".
  • You can also filter the picker by treatment name (e.g. typing "surge") to find a specific foil version faster.
v0.15.16
Jul 25, 2026

No more flicker when adding a card to your deck

Fix
Adding a card to a deck now updates the deck instantly instead of reloading the whole page
  • Previously, adding a card triggered a full page refresh to show it, which caused a jarring flash.
  • The card now appears immediately in the right place, the same way removing or editing a card already worked.
v0.15.15
Jul 25, 2026

A visual consistency pass across deck comparison, import, and suggestions

Refactor
Cleaned up visual inconsistencies across the deck comparison page, import dialog, card suggestions, tags editor, and several smaller surfaces
  • The deck comparison page no longer uses a rainbow of saturated colors to tell decks apart — it now matches the rest of the app's calmer visual language.
  • The import dialog, card suggestions, and tag editor now use the same colors, buttons, and empty states as the rest of the app instead of their own one-off styles.
  • Fixed several small inconsistencies elsewhere: card images that weren't using the app's optimized image loading, a couple of mismatched greens for "success" states, and inline card/deck/package references in rich text that each had their own random color instead of one consistent accent.
v0.15.14
Jul 23, 2026

Smoother scrolling through your decks

Performance
Scrolling through decks on the Dashboard and Library pages is noticeably smoother
  • Deck cards were being needlessly re-rendered on every scroll-related update — fixed so a card only re-renders when its own data actually changes.
v0.15.13
Jul 21, 2026

Fixed the selection outline only showing at card corners

Fix
Selected battlefield cards now show a complete blue outline instead of just the corners
  • The outline was being partly covered by the card art itself along the straight edges — now it renders on top, so the full border is visible.
v0.15.12
Jul 21, 2026

Cards light up as you drag-select them

Feature
Dragging a selection box across the battlefield now highlights cards live, before you release the mouse
  • Matches the same blue-highlight treatment used elsewhere when a card is about to be affected by an action.
v0.15.11
Jul 21, 2026

Moved the selection panel, and kept the full selection outline

Fix
The battlefield selection panel now floats above your hand instead of the top-right corner
  • Matches where the deck builder's own bulk-action bar lives, so it's in a consistent, expected spot across the app.
v0.15.10
Jul 21, 2026

A bolder selection panel

Fix
The floating selection panel is easier to notice — it now has a blue border matching the selected cards
  • Should no longer be easy to miss after selecting a group of cards.
v0.15.9
Jul 21, 2026

Fixed the selection highlight getting cut off on battlefield cards

Fix
The blue selection outline on selected battlefield cards no longer gets clipped on the left or right edge of a row
  • The outline now draws just inside each card's border instead of just outside it, so it can't get cut off by the row's edge anymore.
v0.15.8
Jul 20, 2026

A clearer selection panel, and moving groups of cards together

Fix
The battlefield selection panel is now a distinct floating panel instead of blending into the toolbar
  • It no longer replaces Draw / Untap All / Next Turn while you have cards selected — both stay visible and usable at the same time.
Feature
Dragging one of several selected cards now moves the whole group together
  • Select multiple creatures, then drag any one of them to Hand, Graveyard, or Exile — all of them move at once instead of just the one you dragged.
v0.15.7
Jul 20, 2026

Selecting multiple cards in your deck is easier to find

Fix
A selection checkbox now appears when you hover any card row in the deck builder
  • Previously there was no visible way to start selecting multiple cards — now hovering any row reveals a checkbox, and checking one shows the bulk-action bar (move, categorize, add to buylist, remove) automatically.
v0.15.6
Jul 20, 2026

Drag to select multiple cards on the battlefield

Feature
Click an empty spot on the battlefield and drag to rubber-band select multiple cards
  • While dragging, a live readout shows how many cards are selected and their combined power/toughness.
  • Hold Shift while dragging to add cards to your current selection instead of replacing it.
  • All existing selection actions (tap, untap, move to zone, add counter) work immediately on the cards you select.
v0.15.5
Jul 20, 2026

See your game unfold, and find shortcuts faster

Feature
Added a life-over-time chart and a commander damage matrix to the post-game stats page
  • Every completed game's Stats tab now shows a chart of each player's life total across the whole match, colored to match their life counter.
  • A commander damage matrix shows exactly how much damage each player dealt to every other player, with lethal totals (21+) highlighted.
Feature
The command palette (⌘K) now shows real keyboard shortcuts next to commands that have one
  • Navigation commands and quick-add now display the actual shortcut that triggers them, so you can learn shortcuts just by using the palette.
v0.15.4
Jul 20, 2026

Your commander's art, easier to see on the life counter

Fix
Made the commander art behind each player's life total more visible without hurting readability
  • The background art was nearly invisible before — it's more visible now on every board (local multiplayer, single-player, and online).
  • A soft vignette keeps the center dark enough for the life total to stay easy to read even against bright or busy card art, while the art shows through more at the edges.
v0.15.3
Jul 12, 2026

A calmer, more focused deck page on mobile

Refactor
Reorganized the deck page header so your phone leads with the deck, not a row of tool buttons
  • On small screens the secondary tools (Playtest, Draw 7, Mana Base, Suggestions) now live in the ⋮ menu, so the top of the page is just the essentials — leaving the deck's name and commander as the clear focus.
  • Deck tags now sit in a single swipeable row instead of stacking into several lines and pushing the card list down.
  • The full toolbar is unchanged on larger screens where there's room for it.
v0.15.2
Jul 12, 2026

Mobile fixes: pages that actually fit the screen

Fix
Fixed several places where the page ran wider than a phone screen and scrolled sideways
  • The breadcrumb no longer stretches the whole page when a deck has a long name — the current page name now shortens with an ellipsis instead of pushing everything off-screen.
  • On the deck page, the top action buttons and the Sort / Group / Prices / Filter row now collapse to compact icons on small screens, so nothing gets clipped or hidden.
  • The deck filters in your Library fit within the screen on mobile too.
v0.15.1
Jul 11, 2026

Cleaner card notes — easier to add, quieter to look at

Fix
Adding a note to a card is now obvious, and the note marker no longer clutters the list
  • Hover a card in the deck list and a small note button appears — click it to add or edit that card's note. Right-clicking a card now offers Add/Edit Note too.
  • The note marker is no longer a bright blue icon on every row; it's a muted glyph that only shows on hover, so a fully-annotated deck reads clean.
v0.15.0
Jul 11, 2026

Invite people to your decks

Feature
Share a deck with editors and viewers
  • Deck owners can now invite others by username from a new Invite button on the deck page, choosing whether each person can edit the deck or just view it.
  • See who else is looking at the deck right now via a live avatar stack in the header — handy when you're building together.
  • Manage access anytime: change someone between editor and viewer, or remove them.
v0.14.6
Jul 11, 2026

Consistent elevated panels across Library and Settings

Refactor
More of the app's primary panels now sit on the same subtle raised surface
  • Buylist stat tiles and per-deck groups, the collection filters and list, and the Settings cards now share the same gently raised surface introduced for deck analytics — so panels feel like one consistent system.
  • Trimmed decorative use of the accent color (section headers, loading placeholders, static dividers) so the accent reads as a signal for the main action rather than background texture.
v0.14.5
Jul 11, 2026

Deck analytics now read as distinct cards

Refactor
The deck-page analytics panels sit on their own subtle surface so each one is easier to tell apart
  • Quick Stats, Price Analysis, the mana curve, and the other analytics modules now each sit in their own gently raised card instead of running together in one flat column.
  • Introduced a single, consistent 'elevated surface' tone across the app so primary panels lift off the background the same way in both light and dark mode.
v0.14.4
Jul 11, 2026

Clearer category headers in the deck view

Refactor
Deck-list category headers now stand out from the cards beneath them
  • Section headers like Creatures, Ramp, and Removal are a touch larger and fully legible, so your eye has a clear anchor as you scan a long deck list instead of everything reading at one flat weight.
  • Custom category headers now carry a faint tint of their assigned color, making each section easier to recognize at a glance.
  • The Text and Visual views now share the same header divider styling for a more consistent look.
v0.14.3
Jul 11, 2026

Recently Viewed no longer clutters with life-counter games

Fix
Opening the life counter no longer leaves a stray "Game" entry in Recently Viewed
  • A local life-counter session isn't a place you revisit, so it no longer shows up as a recent item in the sidebar and command palette.
  • Recently Viewed now stays focused on decks, cards, notes, and profiles — the things worth jumping back to.
v0.14.2
Jul 11, 2026

Shorter, single package URLs

Refactor
Packages now live under one short /package address
  • Viewing, creating, and editing a package all happen under /package now, instead of the longer /library/packages path.
  • Package links throughout the app point at the new address; open a package from anywhere and the URL is shorter and easier to share.
v0.14.1
Jul 11, 2026

Clearer commander-identity filter in card search

Fix
The color-identity filter is now a clear labelled control under the search bar
  • Replaced the cramped shield icon-button next to the search bar with a labelled checkbox beneath it, so it's obvious what the toggle does without hovering.
  • It now shows your commander's actual identity colors as mana symbols, which dim when the filter is off — so you can tell at a glance whether results are limited to your colors.
v0.14.0
Jul 11, 2026

One deck page: edit right where you view

Refactor
The separate 'Edit deck' page is gone — everything happens on the deck page
  • You can now add cards, change your commander, adjust the mana base, and organize your list directly on the deck page, without switching to a separate editor.
  • The old /deck/edit link now takes you straight to the deck page, so any saved bookmarks keep working.
  • 'Edit' buttons and menu items that used to open the separate editor have been removed, since the deck page already does everything they did.
v0.13.2
Jul 11, 2026

Polish pass II: better on tablets, faster life tracking, cleaner empty screens

Fix
The deck page no longer gets cramped on tablet-sized screens
  • On tablets and split-screen widths the sidebar now tucks away into a menu (tap the ☰ to open it), so card names stop getting cut off and the page no longer scrolls sideways.
Feature
Life Tracker now has a one-tap Quick Start
  • A 'Quick start' button jumps straight to a 4-player game at your default life total — no setup steps when you just want to start tracking.
  • The game modes are laid out more compactly, with Host and Join for online games grouped alongside the on-device modes.
Refactor
Cleaner empty screens and stronger headings
  • The 'No decks yet' and 'No notes yet' screens drop the hollow dashed box for a calmer, more intentional look.
  • Page titles read with a bit more presence so it's easier to tell titles, sections, and content apart at a glance.
  • Color filters on the browse pages are easier to see and now announce themselves to screen readers.
v0.13.1
Jul 11, 2026

Polish pass: commander art, clearer controls, fewer dead ends

Feature
Commander search now shows card art and color identity
  • Searching for a commander on your dashboard now shows real card art and color pips for each result, instead of a plain text list.
  • Results are labelled 'Matching commanders' when you search and 'Popular commanders' before you do, so it's clear what you're looking at.
Fix
Life Tracker starting-life picker no longer shows '40' twice
  • The custom life-total field is now clearly labelled 'Custom', so it no longer looks like a duplicate of the 40 preset.
Fix
Old /life-counter links now open the Life Tracker
  • Visiting /life-counter used to hit a 'page not found'; it now redirects to the Life Tracker.
Refactor
Tidied up remaining machine-made details
  • Swapped emoji in the deck power-bracket tooltip for proper icons.
  • Removed leftover purple theme values from the build config so the silver palette is the single source of truth.
v0.13.0
Jul 11, 2026

A calmer, more crafted look

Refactor
New default color scheme — cool silver instead of purple
  • The interface now uses a quiet, brushed-steel silver by default so your card art carries the color instead of the chrome.
  • Prefer something else? The theme picker in Settings still offers Graphite, Teal, Bone, Amber, and Sketchbook.
  • Trimmed the loud gradient buttons and 'sparkle' icons so the app reads as carefully made, not machine-made.
Fix
The Mana Base button in the deck view now works
  • Opening the Mana Base Builder from the Add Cards dialog on the deck page previously did nothing — it now opens as expected.
v0.12.0
Jul 11, 2026

See what a deck still costs — and buy it in one click

Feature
Deck value now knows what you own, plus a shopping cart
  • Deck value breaks down into owned vs. still-to-buy using your collection (cards marked purchased on the buylist count as owned).
  • A shopping-cart total shows exactly what the deck still costs to build in paper.
  • One-click 'Buy on TCGplayer' fills a cart with just the missing cards, or copy the list to paste into Card Kingdom / Cardmarket importers.
v0.11.0
Jul 10, 2026

Smarter automatic deck grouping

Feature
Deck grouping now understands what cards do
  • Auto-grouping uses Scryfall's community function tags, so cards land in the right group even when their wording is unusual — a treasure-maker still reads as Ramp, an oddly-worded wipe still reads as Removal.
  • Applies everywhere cards are added: importing a deck, bulk-adding, single adds, and the Auto-categorize button.
  • Your manual category choices are always kept, and anything not yet tagged still falls back to the previous text-based grouping.
v0.10.3
Jul 6, 2026

More accurate deck color identity

Fix
Commanders with hybrid mana symbols now set the right deck colors
  • A commander whose color identity comes from a hybrid symbol or an ability in its rules text (like Taeko's {U/B} or Zask) was being read as fewer colors than it really has, so the deck showed too narrow an identity and some legal cards looked illegal.
  • Deck color identity now matches the commander exactly, and the automatic on-load check only ever adds missing colors — it can never wrongly narrow a correct deck.
  • Importing a deck now takes its colors from the commander alone, so a single off-color card can no longer widen the whole deck's identity.
v0.10.2
Jul 4, 2026

Commander hover preview shows the full card

Fix
Hovering the commander name now shows the full card, not just the art
  • The commander preview under the deck title was showing only the cropped artwork. It now shows the complete card image.
v0.10.1
Jul 4, 2026

Deck color identity always matches the commander

Fix
Changing a commander now always updates the deck's color identity
  • Previously a deck's colors could get out of sync with its commander — for example a Temur deck stuck displaying five colors — because some ways of changing the commander didn't recompute the identity.
  • Now every commander change (including adding or removing a partner) recalculates the deck's color identity from the commander(s), so it's always correct.
  • Older decks that were already out of sync are corrected automatically the next time you open them.
v0.10.0
Jun 14, 2026

Sketchbook theme

Feature
New Sketchbook theme that makes the whole app look hand-drawn
  • Pick 'Sketchbook' under Settings → Appearance to turn the app into a hand-kept deck notebook: handwriting fonts, warm cream paper with faint ruled lines, wavy hand-drawn dividers, and wobbly sketched borders on cards, panels, badges, and buttons.
  • It's a full visual skin, not just a color swap — try it out and switch back to any other theme at any time. Works in both light and dark mode (cream paper by day, dark leather by night).
Fix
Dragging cards on mobile no longer blocks scrolling
  • On phones and touchscreens, you now press and hold a card for a moment to start dragging it. A normal swipe scrolls the page as expected — in the deck list and on the playtest board.
v0.9.1
May 3, 2026

Card images: no more white corners

Fix
Card images render with proper rounded corners everywhere — no more white triangles peeking out behind the card
  • The Scryfall card JPGs have white pixels in the corners outside the printed rounded edge. Without a matching CSS clip those white triangles showed on every hover preview, drag overlay, playtest card, and commander pop-up.
  • Every card image in the app now goes through a single shared component that clips to the card's natural corner radius and uses a black bezel that matches the printed border.
v0.9.0
Apr 27, 2026

Drag-and-drop deck builder

Feature
Drag any card to reorder it in the text deck list
  • In the text deck view, grab a card and drop it anywhere in the list to set a custom order. Works in every grouping (category, type, color, mana value, etc.) and across groups — drop a creature into your lands section to recategorize it.
  • Your custom order is saved per deck and survives reloads. The sort dropdown shows a 'Custom order · Reset' chip so you can revert to any preset sort with one click.
Feature
Drag cards between categories in the visual deck view
  • In the masonry view, grab a card from one category group and drop it on another to recategorize it. The destination group highlights as you drag over it.
  • Within-group reordering is intentionally not supported in the visual view — the densely-stacked layout doesn't lend itself to fine-grained reordering. Use the text view when you want to set a custom order; use the visual view for browsing and recategorizing.
Performance
Faster, more reliable drag-and-drop
  • Switched the drag system to handle large decks without the choppy hover behavior that affected very long lists. Deck pages with 100+ cards now respond instantly to drags.
  • Custom order persists through Convex with optimistic UI — your changes appear immediately and save in the background.
Refactor
Cleaner internals for the deck builder
  • Net −500 lines of code by replacing a 634-line drag-drop hook with a focused metadata helper. Should make future deck-builder features cheaper to add and easier to debug.
v0.8.13
Apr 20, 2026

Masonry drag + right-click + mulligan select-all regressions fixed

Fix
Dragging a card in the visual deck view no longer opens the Scryfall URL overlay
  • The card image is natively draggable, which was bypassing the wrapper that marks the drag as internal. Locked the image down so the drag always starts from the card wrapper.
Fix
Right-clicking a card in the visual deck view no longer opens two menus or locks the screen
  • An overzealous fix in the previous release was tying the right-click menu's open state to the ⋮ dropdown's open state — opening one triggered the other, and closing them both left the app in an unrecoverable focus state. Decoupled.
Feature
Mulligan to the bottom of your deck pre-selects all cards
  • When you mulligan enough that every card in your hand has to go to the bottom of the library (7 mulligans on a 7-card opener), all of them are now pre-selected. Click the 'Put N on Bottom' button once to confirm, instead of tapping each card.
  • The dialog no longer auto-closes out from under you.
v0.8.12
Apr 20, 2026

Drag-drop fix, masonry right-click reveal, mulligan-to-zero

Fix
Dragging a card no longer opens the Scryfall-import overlay
  • Dragging a card between groups in the text deck view was triggering the 'paste a Scryfall URL to import' flow instead of moving the card. Fixed the root cause: the drag was only being marked as an internal-deck-card drag when category-reassignment was active. Now every drag of an in-deck card is always marked internal, so the external-URL overlay stays out of the way.
  • Full drag-drop overhaul (reordering, cross-group moves in any view mode, keyboard drag-drop) is queued as a separate future item.
Fix
Right-click on a masonry card keeps the card revealed
  • When you right-click a card in the visual (masonry) view, the card now stays pushed down / expanded for as long as the menu is open — matching the behavior of the ⋮ button.
Feature
Mulliganing to zero auto-bottoms your hand
  • If you mulligan enough times that you have to bottom your entire hand (7 mulligans on a standard opener), we now do it for you automatically instead of asking you to click each card. No choice to make → no dialog to fight with.
v0.8.11
Apr 20, 2026

Right-click works everywhere now

Feature
Right-click any card in any deck view to open a cursor-anchored action menu
  • Works in both the text view and the visual (masonry) view. Opens exactly where you clicked.
  • Focused action set — the ten things you reach for most: View Details, Move to Section, Categories, Change Printing, Toggle Buylist, Change Commander, Remove from Deck, and the Promote-to-Partner action when applicable.
  • The ⋮ button still opens the full action menu with everything else (Add to Collection, Pin, Copy Name, Save to Package, Compare Prices, Set Quantity).
  • Right-click inside any text input still opens the browser's native menu for copy/paste.
v0.8.10
Apr 19, 2026

Badge Size Fixes; Masonry Right-Click Removed

Fix
Legal labels and like buttons now actually match the text around them
  • The LEGAL badges in the card details modal no longer shout — they use the same size as the format name next to them (previously smaller font but uppercase + tracking + color box, which read as visually louder).
  • Like buttons on deck cards now use the exact same sizing, padding, and weight as the date badge next to them — same 12px font, same padding, same pill shape — so the two badges read as a matched pair.
Fix
Right-click on masonry cards removed
  • We tried several approaches to make right-click open the card action menu at the cursor on the visual (masonry) deck view. None worked: the 3D perspective and transform effects that power the foil-card look create a containing block that traps any positioning we attempt. The correct fix requires extracting the action menu into shareable primitives — we'll ship it properly with the 0.G refactor rather than leaving a half-working interaction.
  • Right-click still works as expected in the text deck view. The ⋮ button still opens the full menu in both views.
v0.8.9
Apr 19, 2026

Right-Click Position & Tight Badge Text

Fix
Right-click menu now actually opens at the click point in masonry view
  • A CSS containment rule we added for masonry paint performance was also making `position: fixed` children position relative to each card instead of the viewport — so the right-click menu's virtual anchor ended up offset by the card's page position. Removed that specific containment; the perf fix (no blur/no layer-promotion for idle cards) stays in place.
Fix
Small badges no longer stretch their row taller
  • Like buttons on deck cards, legality labels in card details, and other small tag-style labels were rendering about 4px taller than the text around them because the new `text-xxs` utility was carrying a generous line-height. Tightened to `line-height: 1` so the badge height matches its actual content.
v0.8.8
Apr 19, 2026

Masonry View Faster; Right-Click Menu Position

Performance
Masonry deck view loads faster
  • Every foil card used to allocate a GPU buffer for its blur effect at mount time, even when you weren't hovering. On a deck with 100+ cards that floods the compositor. The blur now only runs while you're actively hovering the card.
  • Cards no longer declare `will-change: transform` globally either — that upfront layer promotion was forcing the browser to pre-allocate memory for animations that most cards will never perform.
  • Each card also gets `contain: layout paint style` so the browser skips recomputing offscreen cards.
Fix
Right-click menu now opens at the click point
  • The right-click context menu was anchoring with the ⋮-button's positioning rules (menu appears to the right of the anchor), so right-clicking a card opened the menu far to the right of the cursor. Right-click now uses bottom-start anchoring with zero offset — the menu's top-left corner lands at the cursor, like a native OS context menu.
v0.8.7
Apr 19, 2026

Right-Click Opens at the Cursor

Fix
Right-clicking a card now opens the full action menu at the click point
  • Both the text deck view and the visual (masonry) view respond to right-click with the full ⋮ menu — not a stripped-down version — anchored exactly where you clicked.
  • Previously the menu opened anchored to the ⋮ button's position instead of the cursor.
v0.8.6
Apr 19, 2026

Deck List Performance

Performance
Text deck list feels instant again
  • Hovering cards in the text deck view no longer chugs. The hover-preview state (which card, cursor position, which face) used to live on the list, so every pointer move re-rendered all 100+ card rows. The preview now owns its own state and updates via an imperative API — mouse motion only re-renders the preview overlay, not the list.
Fix
Tab-focus now reveals hover-only actions
  • Buttons that appear on hover (undo in the change log, the edit pencil on the deck title, card row actions) now also appear when you tab-focus onto them. Keyboard navigation no longer hides the primary actions.
  • Previous attempt used `focus-visible` which only applies to the focused element itself — swapped to `focus-within` which activates whether the element or any descendant has focus.
v0.8.5
Apr 19, 2026

Help Dialog Cleanup

Fix
Keyboard shortcuts help now shows only the shortcuts for the page you're on
  • Press ? anywhere in the app to see a tailored list: deck pages show deck shortcuts and card-hover actions, playtest shows game actions, the life counter shows its own set.
  • The 'Jump to page' vim-style navigation (G then D/E/L/N/T/S) is always included at the bottom.
  • Previously the deck editor had a duplicate help-modal mount, so pressing ? there opened two dialogs at once — now resolved.
v0.8.4
Apr 19, 2026

Keyboard Undo & Right-Click Menus

Feature
Press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z) to undo the last deck change
  • Works on any deck page — the deck viewer and the deck editor. Owners and collaborators only.
  • Handles both single-card changes and bulk changes (imports, bulk-edit, auto-fill) atomically — if the last action added 20 cards, one press takes all 20 back.
  • Keyboard undo shares the same endpoints as the existing Undo buttons in the change log, so the two paths stay consistent.
Feature
Right-click any card to open its action menu
  • Works in both the text deck view and the visual (masonry) view.
  • Opens the same triple-dot ⋮ menu that was previously only reachable by clicking the small icon button — no new menu to learn, just another way to reach the same actions.
  • Right-click inside input fields still opens the browser's native menu for copy/paste.
v0.8.3
Apr 19, 2026

New Themes & Simpler Theme Picker

Feature
Curated theme set — Graphite, Indigo, Teal, Bone, Amber
  • Every theme is designed to meet WCAG AA contrast by construction, so whichever one you pick, text stays legible.
  • Themes are now accent-only: the three color circles in each theme drive buttons, links, and highlights, while the background stays consistent white (light mode) or near-black (dark mode).
  • Indigo is the new default — it's the closest feel to the prior Purple Dream but desaturated for better contrast on call-to-action buttons.
  • Your existing custom colors (if you set any) are preserved — the picker won't highlight a preset in that case, but you can click any of the new themes at any time to switch.
Feature
Redesigned theme picker
  • Large preview swatches show all three accent colors side-by-side on the actual mode background — no more guessing what a theme will look like.
  • Each theme has a short description under its name.
  • The seven custom-color inputs are now tucked behind a 'Custom colors' disclosure — only expand it if you want to go beyond the presets.
Fix
Dark mode is easier on the eyes
  • The dark-mode background is now a very slightly cool near-black (#0E0E10-ish) instead of pure black on white. Pure-black-on-pure-white flashes your contrast receptors, slows reading, and makes OLED screens bloom at color edges.
v0.8.2
Apr 19, 2026

Readability Pass

Fix
Text deck list: tighter row spacing and larger mana costs
  • Rows in the text-based deck view sit closer together and feel less sparse, so more cards fit on screen.
  • Mana-cost symbols next to each card name are now noticeably larger and easier to read at a glance.
Refactor
Keyboard-accessible action icons
  • Icons that used to appear only on mouse hover (undo buttons in the change log, edit-pencil on the deck title, row actions in the card list) now also appear when you tab-focus onto them. Keyboard-only navigation no longer hides primary actions.
Refactor
Section heading weight fix
  • Section-level headings used a thin weight at small sizes that was hard to read on non-retina displays. They now render at a normal weight on mobile while preserving the lighter look on larger screens.
  • Empty-state descriptions no longer stack muted color with low opacity, so the secondary line-of-text reads at a predictable contrast.

Playtest Mulligan & Shortcut Help Fixes

Fix
Mulliganing past seven no longer locks the opening-hand dialog
  • Taking your eighth mulligan previously asked you to put eight cards on the bottom of your library — impossible when you only drew seven, so the Put-on-Bottom button never enabled and you had to reset the game.
  • The bottom-count is now capped at the size of your actual hand, so you can mulligan indefinitely (London-mulligan to zero if you really want).
Fix
Keyboard-shortcuts help dialog now lists the Buylist shortcut
  • Hovering a card and pressing B has always toggled it on/off your buylist — but the help dialog was missing that row.
  • The help dialog now reads from the canonical shortcut registry, so every listed key reflects what actually fires.

Online Life Counter & Small-Screen Improvements

Feature
Online multiplayer life counter with shareable game codes
  • Start a game from your phone and share a 4-letter code — up to 8 players can join from their own devices
  • Each player controls their own life, counters, and commander damage; you see everyone else's totals update in real time
  • The game opens with a dice roll to pick the starting player — each player taps to roll a d20, and the highest roller goes first
  • Optional deck integration — pick any public deck, or one of your own private decks if signed in, to show your commander art and name in the lobby and on the board
  • No sign-in required — jump in as a guest with just a display name
  • Ending a game is permanent — once the host ends a game, the code cannot be reused or rejoined
Feature
Tap any life total to open a numeric keypad
  • Fast big jumps — tap your life number to bring up a keypad and enter any delta (+7, −13) or set your total to an exact value
  • Works across single-player, local multiplayer, and the new online mode
  • Matches the interaction model used by Lotus and Moxtopper, the most-praised mobile life counters
Feature
Undo accidental life changes with a tap
  • The pending delta badge that appears after a life change is now tappable — tap it to instantly cancel that change
  • Great safety net for the classic 'did I tap twice?' moment
Feature
Support for up to 8 players
  • Player count selector now goes from 2 to 8 (main design is still optimized for 1–4)
  • 7- and 8-player games use denser 2x4 grids

  • Switch to the By Deck view (now the default) to see and manage quantities per deck
